pls help me how to delete deepfreeze and repair windows XP startup due to deepfreeze..

bro if you remember password sa depreeze then use that. if you dont know how to open depreze makakita ka sa taskbar sa ryt syd naa depreze icon pangitaa lang then hold alt key then double click the icon mo appear na ang depreze program make it sure you remember the password k.

ive' been thru hell with deep freeze. i installed a lower version on 64 bit system w/c messed up and thawed my pc that cannot be accessed w/ the password. luckily na uninstall ra jud. search forums and google. there's a software too that can remove deep freeze but it depends on the version http://usuarios.arnet.com.ar/fliamar...ges/emain.html. there's also another method were you install another deep freeze on another computer and thaw it then copy its configuration file to your frozen computer. so the uninstaller could run again. these are the steps that i followed...

However, you need three computers (or rather, their hard drives) to do this.

1. Thaw a computer, and put the hard drives in it:
a) 1 thawed hard drive, where you will grab the thawed persi0.sys from.
b) 1 frozen hard drive, which is the one you want to fix

2. Once you have done this, copy the file persi0.sys from the thawed hard disk to the frozen hard disk. It needs to be done this way because the file is being used by windows. If you try to copy it from a thawed hdd to a frozen hdd WHILE USING THE THAWED hdd, Windows tells you it's not possible to copy it.

3. Put the now fixed hdd back in the machine it belongs to. You are now able to uninstall DF.

And with this, i'm able to fix the computers that were unable to thaw.

note: You can do this in linux too

reformat nalang aron madali. fresh pa pagka-install imong OS. don't use deep fresh, angay lang na sa mga ordinary user.

restart pc. press f8

press safemode.

inig sulod na, take no as answer. windows has its own way of protecting itself..

one of it is called system restore.

so u restore the pc to its state, before u've installed the deep freeze.

and voila! ur done.

cons: it wud erase all ur updates u've made to ur pc ( softwares not hardwares )

after the date u select as restore point.
