unsa? unsay villanueva ba oi! dili man vilanueva akong family name. ug di lang ko musulti kung unsa kay basin nya hantingon ko nimu vayeet!
anyway, in-ani sya. di ko magride-in sa achievement sa akong papa, or brother ba kaha, kung naa silay achievement. of course i will be proud of them if they will receive any, but being proud for my family name, NO. I should achieve something first to prove I'm worthy and be proud of my family name
hay! nosebleed ko da! sige na lang gud. my family name is middleton
Bro...pwede ko manghambug sa akong accomplishments dire sa istorya.net (IT is NOT MUCH anyways).....It's my word and your doubts after all... But seriously, would you believe me or would you rather meet with me in person, and perhaps we can see each others humble accomplishments......Deal?
But HEY just being a a Cebuano is already more than enough for me to be proud of and I don't even have to explain why...
So bro....when will we meet?
I'm a Filipino and a bisaya . Am I proud of Manny's , Charice's , or Lea's success ? No . I don't deserve it , just like everyone else regardless they're "representing" Philippines . If Cebu made a remarkable achievement , let's say they have a transit system , which only Cebu that has it aside from Metro Manila . Am I proud for Cebu's achievements ? No , Although I'm from Cebu but I don't pay taxes there . But residents of Cebu City (taxpayers to be exact) has the right to be proud of the city's accomplishment because they're the reason to make the project happen ...
Manny's and other international Philippine-based celebrities' achievement is a personal achievement NOT a collective achievement like my Cebu City analogy . Hope ya get the drift ...
OT: FAQ, murag kaila ko nimu! mod ka diri noh? I noticed some similarities!
Kun moingon ka nga 'I am proud to be a Pacquiao' bisan dili ka ka-pamilya sa mga Pacquiao, sayop na na. Kay imong gi-identify ang imong kaugalingon to those glory attained by others.
Pero kun moingon ka nga 'I am proud to be a Filipino', wala man nimo gi-identify o gipasigarbo ang imong kaugalingon ana, imo lang gi-associate ang achievement ni Pacquiao, Pempenco, Salonga, Pineda, ug uban pang mga pinoy sa ilang pagka-pilipino kay mga pilipino baya ni sila. Dili man ni sila mga amerikano, alemano, etc...
In-short ang imong gipasigarbo mao ang pagka-Filipino, dili ang imong pagka-Mokiloo. I guess wala man siguroy sayop ana. Gawas kun anti-pinoy ka. But I guess you are not.
I'm proud to be FILIPINO not because of other people accomplishments. but because even at the midst of our rotten system I still am proud - that's the least i can do for my country.
Your racial background is not something you should be proud of. It's not your achievement nor your parent's if you were born white or black or asian.
Im proud to be a Filipino because THIS is where we are..
if youre not proud to be a FILIPINO
you can pack youre bag and move to other country... (overcrowded nata diri)
