Tallo leaves Ateneo: Right or Wrong Move?

The sad thing is the more MacMac plays better, the more people will just forget the damage (financial and otherwise) he did sa mga ni-tabang ug suporta sa iya.

All they have to do is keep sidestepping the issue until he has a break-out game somewhere or plays spectacular in an Ateneo vs LaSalle game. Both of which I know will eventually happen given the system and MacMac's talent

Although I have mentioned that maybe Tallo leaving Ateneo (though I don't agree in the way he did it, AWOL) is the right move for Tallo and moving to La Salle in his desire for more playing time, this blog by a pro Atenean seems to apply to this issue, although the blog is actually a reply to a pro La Sallean's blog.

Not surprised. Both sides have used the Tallo transfer as an issue . If you go into the DLSU forums they use it as evidence to show DLSU is superior in bball and even academics.

The statements by Mr. Tallo about the transfer itself caused quite a stir among some Lasallians. He mentioned "LaSalle na sila" even though there were no entrance tests scheduled since MacMac's leaving and that statement. A couple of "strict" La Sallians did not seem to like the special treatment.

That is why MacMac is a hot topic and has "value" in the bball world right now. Just one break-out game in a Archer uniform and the entire DLSU bball community will have their new messiah, no matter how he got there and what his attitude is.

I really don't know why your speculation in the issue of CIT to CEC always balik balik,...that was a year ago issue. I am from Labangon res .some members of our basketball association are working in CIT. It was the teacher who made macmac transfer to CEC. In generalize..the parent who doesn't want any trouble para d madaot ang school. Not only macmac is the victim of this teacher...5 varsity players..then macmac was the only one studying..the 4 players gave cd's worth 200 pesos to pass the subject. ..wala nihatag si macmac kay confident makapasar siya...
Same teacher nga napatawag sa barangay regarding same issue with the other parent before macmac situation. Wala na lang nila gipadako para d sad madaot ang school tungod lang sa CD...nakasabot na ka. Some people in this thread always having a wrong info. Player man gud before ko and macmac is bisaya, malipay sad ko nga naa taga cebu nga masuccess. Ikaw ask ni Coach Norman ,..kay ikaw man taga ateneo..duol ka sa luwag..para makahibaw ta sa tanan.

This is the exactly the type of information we need. People don't know about things like this since we are not close to the Tallo's and their situation like you are.

Why don't you use that closeness to ask the questions I have repeatedly asked.

Did Mr. Tallo ever try to approach Coach Norman (not the team manager) for a serious talk about MacMac's situation?

Did the "keep your status" incident happen?

Do they have any plans to repay the training?

Was the plane ticket purchased before the talk with Coach Norman?

Have they talked to Mr. Huang already? I might be meeting him next week and i can set it up if the Tallo's wish to talk to him, or maybe even repay him?


Hopefully as these questions get answered people will realize why the Tallo's had to go AWOL. that there was no other option, just like in the CIT case.
