    @keropi

it isn't really that hard to find, if you can wait a day for shipping, you can get it from TPC...

*EDIT* Explode posted a cheaper one below

And monitor size is really user preference, some people don't like the screen, or some don't like it when the icons/items on the desktop are smaller than normal, which is what usually happens if they fit 1080p to a 21"-22" monitor when its better on 23" and 24"s...

Nakahuna-huna na ba ang mga AMD fanboys?
usually, when you call other people fanboys of a particular brand, it implies that you're a fanboy of its counterpart...

maybe they prefer the i3 cause its more optimized and has features they're after, and maybe some people prefer AMD cause it a bit more affordable, it doesn't make them fanboys...

There's obviously a workaround with the small icons i'm pretty sure.

I beg to disagree. There are people who would not care about the brand but would only look at the performance, hence value. Im proud to say im one of those utilitarians.

With the 5850s, i was erefering to the reference versions. I stand corrected.

Here are my comments anyway TS:

Brand new HD5850s are very hard to find. Consider the GTX560 non-ti as an alternative
Get a 21-22in 1080p monitor rather than a 1600x900. It offers greater value than the latter. Price difference should only be around 1k.

so dili fanboy ang tawag if you went from brand x to brand y because it what fits for your needs, pero if ang name sa brand x kay AMD and brand y is intel sore AMD fanboy na dayon? My previous rig was an unlocked Phenom X4. Before that an E5200 oc'ed to 3.7ghz. Notice my upgrade phase? When E5200 came out it was bang for buck, you can get it for less than 3.5k yet when oc'ed can match an E8400 currently being sold for 8k at that time. My unlocked Phenom X4 was also a bang for the buck. For 2.6k you can have a processor with the potential to become a full-pledge quad core with L3 cache. Cheapest Phenom X4 being sold at that time is 6.5k. Now nag i3-2100 ko because it was bang for the buck again. So AMD fanboy lugar ko? I go for what is sulit not what fits for bragging nor because its intel or amd. Kapoy maminaw anang fanboy blah2. We know they exist, pero ngano ihisgot pa man sa thread?

icons? yes. what about everything else? I know a lot of people who can't stand the smaller status bar, menu bars, smaller icons w/in applications like adobe ones, and I know this since I've worked with different size monitors, I have access to everything from 17" to 27" so that difference (specially when your into graphics design) is something I can't stand.

Its like your saying "I'm not a fanboy, but I like calling other people fanboys"...

I also noticed some of your other posts has "im not a red-team (amd) fanboy but I recommend these amd parts, blah blah..."
isn't it possible to just say "I recommend these amd parts..."?

You shouldn't post the word "fanboy" to begin with, when you start labeling people as something else, those people will also label you as such. It's like you want to start a fanboy debate...

Try not to rush on buying the pc parts esp. on the monitor. You should get a 1080p monitor. Try save on that one and use what you have right now unless this is your first PC.

@eXpLoDe: murag di na makaya bro...with regards to the 1TB, ok I'll check those...

@zhadlp: maybe I'll be ok on 4GB as what people says its practical daw...and yes, I am thinking of Xfiring...I guess one HD5850 will do the job done.

if mag crossfire ka kailangan ka mag-add ug budget for the mobo. Also I think its already too much for the i3-2100 to handle two HD5850s
