Bitaw. Dugay2x nko ga gamit both windows ug mac. Never had a crash. I think Windows only crashes for users who don't know how to use it.
Regarding the Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop issues on OSX Lion, I'm pretty confident they're going to fix this soon. But we'll also have to take into account Apple's relationship with Adobe, which is a little shaky. So I suggest we stick with Snow Leopard for now.
turning on updates helps... I'm currently using Windows 7
with just "important updates" turned on and it's been smooth sailing
slightly OT: by the way... check out the free Windows Live Photo Gallery...
but will post more of that on another thread

I somewhat disagree with you. Apple only charges $40 for an OS upgrade, while Microsoft charges $140? I don't think that's reasonable at all, especially here in the Philippines. Honestly, I don't blame people for resorting to pirated copies when it comes to Windows. That's around 6000 pesos you're about to spend in addition to the hardware you're buying. Doesn't seem like a great deal to me.
On the other hand, Apple sells you a computer with an OS for $1500 and offers you an upgrade (when it's available) for only $40. Now that's reasonable, except that the $1500 you're spending can get you better specs with a PC. So it's basically a dilemma for the average consumer.
Now for the non-tech people, I highly recommend Macs as they're basically plug and play devices. Just turn it on, and you're good to go. PCs are a little bit trickier than that. You'll have to decide what OS you want, install it properly, partition, antivirus, etc. If done right, a properly assembled PC, regardless of the genuineness of the OS, should be about as good as a plug and play Macintosh granting they have the same specs - again, IF DONE RIGHT.
To everyone else: Don't give me that BS that Windows is unstable and crashes more than Macs. I will laugh right in your ignorant, one dimensional mind. Remember, your computer is only as smart as the person typing on the keyboard.
BTW, is there any update that CS5 now works well with Lion?
Wa gyud ko nagkaproblema ani kay CS2 akong gamit sa akong windows XP whew!!!
