here is my Sam at 22 days old (parents: sandfire yellow x sandfire red/gold)

sam basking in morning sunlight streaming through our screen door

she's gained weight the past couple of weeks as her appetite steadily grew. diet consist of crickets and carefully selected soft newly-molted mealies (gut-loaded with veggies) dusted with calcium powder without D3 and the 3x weekly dusting of reptile multivitamin. Illuminated 10-12 hrs a day with Arcadia D3 UVA/UVB 12% and a basking lamp. I also let her bask in early morning sunlight for about 30minutes to an hour daily.

providing her also her daily ration of mustard greens. I ocassionally see her nibble on the greens, but not yet taking that much. looking forward to see her munching away on veggies with the same appetite she has on those moving insect feeders.

yeah it usually takes time for them to be eating greens or pellets.. my BD took about 2 weeks for him to eat veggies and pellets. it's worth the wait so you can cut down the amount of crickets you feed them..

btw, i only feed my BD around 30 crickets a day w/ veggies or pellets cause i don't believe in power/over feeding them like in the care sheets cause it's unnatural for them to be eating large amounts of insects in a single day.
they ain't that great of a hunter to catch that many in the wild..

Nice bai, he is looking good

As for me on me experience on feeding, the mom
Who ate about 60-70 crickets a day grew to full size,
The dad, chong, who I am not sure went to a brumation process or got sick whom i had to give reptaid for a month coz he wasnt eating much grew only to about 18" .

I think have right heat which is 100f of the hot side, they will
Be able to digest the food regularly. No rain or predators to keep them hiding. Also, UV daily makes them absorb their d3 faster.

That's why captive bread dragons often times live longer than the ones in the wild.

Basta whether you feed them veggies or crickets or roaches ato lang make sure nga ma busog sila

This is just my experience ha and my own conclusions at the end .
