Check this out.. I coped and paste this info for ONP program. This might help you.
We are pleased to inform you that one of the UK institutions we represent locally, recognizing the increase in demand for International Nursing, has announced 2 improved courses that include progression to the Overseas Nursing Programme (ONP). These courses have been specifically designed for students educated outside of the UK, those wanting to enhance their Nursing practice globally, and those seeking international employability (including the British National Health System).
MSc INTERNATIONAL NURSING STUDIES/INS (With Option of Overseas Nursing Programme)
For the MSc INS, the ONP will be added to the list of designated modules currently offered and students will be able to choose the ONP if they meet the extra ONP requirements (IELTS, previous module completion, etc.). If they do not meet these requirements, they will still be able to choose one of the other modules and complete with an MSc INS but without the ONP.
Start Dates: January & September
Duration: Full-time/ 1 year
Campus: Cambridge
BSc (Hons) INTERNATIONAL NURSING STUDIES/INS (With Overseas Nursing Programme)
For the BSc INS, the ONP will replace the current Pain Management Module. Any student who does not meet the extra ONP requirements (IELTS, previous module completion, etc.) will go onto the Pain Management module and be able to complete the course as a BSc (Hons) but without the ONP.
Start Dates: January & September
Duration: Full-time/ 1 year
Campus: Chelmsford
Total Numbers
For the September 2011 intake, we can only accept a combined total of 125 students for the BSc and MSc INS course (i.e. 25 on the BSc and 100 on the MSc or 85 on the BSc 40 on the MSc). As soon as 125 Firm Acceptances have been confirmed, they will close the course (as dictated by the number of ONP placements available).
Entry requirements:
1. All students wishing to sign up to these courses must first contact the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and apply directly for an ONP decision letter. This letter will determine whether the applicant is eligible to undertake the ONP. ARU will not be accepting any students onto the BSc or MSc without this letter.
2. Students can begin the BSc with an IELTS of 6.0, 6.5 for the MSc, and will need to achieve a 7.0 before they can begin with the ONP. The faculty will continue to provide English language support to all students and any student who does not have the required IELTS score will be given an opportunity to retake the IELTS.
3. Students will have to successfully pass all previous modules on the BSc and MSc courses in-order to proceed onto the ONP.
4. Every Student will have to pass an Occupational Health Check and be given a clear Criminal records check before they enter the practice part of the course – this will be undertaken during the academic part of the course. If you are unsuccessful in either the theoretical part of the course or do not satisfy the health check and the Criminal check you will not be eligible to enter practice.
