You see sir, if you open threads like these, you have to be up to the challenge. Because you are putting your name on the line, it will be your personal opinion against the opinion of several different members. There will be instances that a big chunk of them are going to oppose yours toe to toe and will insist that you are wrong because theirs are contradicting yours. It is just a matter of being consistent and how graceful a person is while doing it, that creates admiration and respect. Say... like Noy Kulas.

If you are up to the challenge, how do you feel about rodsky's comments below?

Unlike some people I know, I do admit to having bouts of immaturity from time to time, but I have a certain degree of confidence that those who know me better, and understand why I do the stuff I do, will use their better judgment in concluding what kind of person I am, and whether the manner in which I behave in these boards are deemed within acceptable parameters of social norm/convention and that of a moderator.

if they/we flooded your threads you could have reported us. if the mod didn't act, you can raise your concern and report to the other mods/admins.

you are posting your threads in a public site so expect different people will come and attack you. This is not facebook where you can only choose your friends and who will comment in your posts and even block anyone.

You cant own a thread and filter anyone to comment statements in favor of yours.

And since your goal in creating this kind of thread is to make a book, I suggest you create that 8th thread in ARTS & LITERATURE section where it best fits.

I didn't call you a rat. I used the rat as an analogy for ill-ideas that fester in the minds of the youth, provoked by other ideas nonchalantly posted in message boards. It's the ideas that need to be exterminated, not the person.

The so-called acts of "twisting words" and "putting words in someone's mouth" are all part of the art of discourse, argumentation and debate, but these have earned a bad reputation simply because other people who cannot supply an adequate rebuttal are easy to blame such attacks and turn them into something of negative context.

That is your opinion. As to who REALLY decides whether I'm truly doing my job here "right" or not, that's for the owners of the forum to decide, and I'm always ready to give up my post if asked to do so, by the owners.
