    I agree! Mao ni sakto. Pro-rated na sya. Not unless specified sa contract nga lahi ang mid-year ug 13th month. Kay naa dyud uban companies bahinon ang 13th month. Mao pagtuo na dayon mid-year bonus. Basin half lng na sa 13th month TS. Tanawa sa contract nmu naa na naka-specify.

    10,000*12 months=120,000

    120,000/24 pay periods=5,000

    I'm
    it is not divided by pay periods. it is divided by 12 months, not pay periods. 12 months is a constant. don't be confused. 120,000 divided by 12 months equals 10,000. bisan unsaon pag bali-bali correct jud to ang formula sa inyo company.

    I understand that it's computed by number of months but sa amu payslip, ang nakabutang is accumulated earnings from Jan to June / 12 pay periods instead of 6 moths (counting number of months from Jan to June)... mao bitaw ask ko kung sakto ba ni nga computation... maski unsaon nako bali bali amu payslip, 12 pay periods jud ang nakabutang...

    ing ani na lang... I'll give two computations ha... amu 13th month gidivide ug kaduha first half sa June and second half sa December... this is the situational computation...

    1.) accrued earnings from Jan to June: 50,000
    No. of months Jan to June: 6 months

    50,000 / 6 months = 8,333.33

    2.) accrued earnings from Jan to June: 50,000
    No. of pay periods Jan to June: 12 pay periods

    50,000 / 12 pay periods = 4,166.66

    >>>Now, which of the two computations is correct?

    maybe coincidence lang or wrongly termed ang 12 pay periods. must be 12 months (w/c represents 1 year). computation #2 is correct provided that you change the word "pay periods" to "months". or more so, computation number #1 if you divide the result by 2 (w/c represents half of you full 13th month pay). same result if you do it like, 50,000 / 6 months / 2. your problem is the term use because you are anticipating that at the end of the year it will become 24 pay periods.

    pinaka sayon na computation ai,

    if your company is saying nga ang inyo mid-year bonus is half sa inyong 13th month pay;

    divide your basic monthly pay/rationalized monthly income (RMI) by 2..

    by then, you can have an idea pila ang half sa imo 13th month.. considering cebu rate per wage order sept 2010

    285 x 365 / 12 = 8, 668.75 (RMI) / 2 = 4, 334 => this will be the half of your 13th month pay

    kung naa man gani nay variance, gamay ra..

    Like I mentioned from my previous post, mao na jud to tanan..

    If kuripot inyong company, mao lage to, bahinon ug ikaduha ang 13thmonth. So sa midyear, 1/2 sa 13thmonth, then igka november or december ehatag na ang remaining 1/2 sa 13th month.

    At the end of the day, depende ra jud na sa company pila ang ehatag nga midyear bonus. Naay uban equivalent ug 1month salary, then tagaan paka sa katong mandatory 13th month pay at the end of the year.

    Naa pod uban midyear bonus, walay fixed amount. Some companies call in Productivity Bonus.
