help with playstation2

my ps2 broke down...

it still has power. dvd still spins. but the problem is it is inconsistent in detecting dvds.. like out of 30 trials i could at most get 1 to play... anyone knows what could be wrong with it? please help me....

Possibly the lens. You can have it clean/changed in most shops that sells PS2.

If you do not know much about it, you better go to a shop and let them take care of it. A friend and his dad tinkered with it and ended up damaging it more.
