Ask lang ko what made you decide to buy Sony boss? Where you can have the Canon Rebel XTi or Nikon D80.
Check this out. By the way, Nikon D80 could have been your better choice.

the star effects are made by the blades of the aperture

Yeah Ive tried that.. I was just amaze how perfect the star was in the pic. Probably because of the steadiness due to camera mounted on a tripod.

nah.. i rather buy the D70's than D80, di ko ganahan sa features sa D80 plus SD pa gyud mas feel na ko secure mo gamit og CF, ako gyud 1st option is Canon400D + decent (feb. ta ako target time to buy the 400D ) lens pero nag Promo man ang Sony Alpha og 24months nya na ganahan sad ako tatay mao na sabot mi ang ako na ipon para 400D dungag lang nako since ako man permi mu gamit hehee.. ok raman ko sa Sony alpha, except lang gyud sa hard plastic niya murag dali mo crack pero what i love about sa sony alpha is the Features gyud like the Super Steady shot and the DR advance mode, doh ang ako na dissapoited niya is the 1600ISO mas nindot pa ang D400 medyo naka bantay ko sa Noise pero ok raman sad ang quality sa Picture, anyway wa man ko nag mahay sa Sony 3yrs pa gyud ang warranty,

koto, actually dili man downside sa Nikon D80 ang SD.. compatible sad ni sa SDHC which is better than CF. Pero as long as enjoy ka.. and comfortable ka wala na kaso.. depende raman na sa style of shooting nimo..

Regarding ISO sensitivity.. Ok ang Canon Rebel XTi, mas ok pa sa Nikon D80. Pero image sharpness ug brillant color saturation.. Nikon D80..

Pero like I said.. kung asa ka enjoy and comfortable.. mao ang mo matter..
