Does it take brains to run a city like a mafia? Anybody who is sick enough in the brain can do that. Mayor Guliani of NY a city 8x the size of Davao in terms of population solved a much worse crime wave there without resorting to extrajudicial killings.

That's why I say, you people in Davao you are easily impressed people. There's for sure a better mayor out there for Davao but that person won't dare to run because of the climate of killings in Davao. If the Duterte's can dispose of suspects like they are animals what will stop them from disposing any political opponent that comes close to beating them? Salig na lang jud mo nila? Hahaha.. gullible.

i am a cebuano..pro mas na appreciate how they hnadle the city. nakadaug man gihapon si duterte pasabot daghan ang ganahan nga sila mg handle sa city kay sa uban nga politiko..

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) says there are more than a thousand drug pushers and users in Davao City, some of them politicians.
Some of them are mayors from outside Davao City who have houses here, said PDEA-Davao Region officer-in-charge Emerson Rosales.
Rosales did not name the politicians, except to say that they are being monitored with charges to be filed against them once strong evidence is gathered.
He however gave a hint: Most of drugs coming to Davao City come from the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), and that drug supply drastically decreased after the infamous Maguindanao Massacre that killed 57 people including 32 media persons. The suspects in the mass murder were members of the Ampatuan clan led by former ARMM governor Andal Ampatuan, Sr. and his son Andal Jr.
Rosales and Davao City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (Cadac) action officer Eliseo Braganza last week said there is now a noted increase in supply of shabu in the city, even as PDEA said it has dismantled 11 shabu laboratories in Cotabato City, said to be a major producer of the synthetic drug.
