MANILA, Philippines – Five-time NBA champion Kobe Bryant said he has yet to get an invite to the supposed series of exhibition games against Smart-Gilas Pilipinas and a PBA selection late this month.

“I saw something about that but I haven’t heard anything,” the Los Angeles Lakers star said during the press conference in Manila.

“I haven’t heard of anything yet. I don’t know what the heck’s going on,” said Bryant.

The 32-year-old shooting guard said he only got word about the supposed games following his arrival in Manila.

“I read about it but that’s the first time I heard about it,” said Bryant.

Organizers of the basketball event are scheduled to disclose the full details of the games this Friday.

So Kobe haven't heard of this shin-dig before he came to the Philippines . Hmmm ...

MVP and his crew are yet to reach out to those players . It's still uncertain if all of them would accept the gig . I would love if this will happen though , hit these Gilas kids with REALITY . They need to realize that they can't compete in the big league . Forget the 2012 (and so on) Summer Olympics .
