@TS: doing ordinary things extraordinarily well. Sama pa sa saying: "A professional can produce the best results even when he doesn't feel like doing it."

That being said: Improve our education program. Practice good business ethics. Provide the positive attitude towards the long term results.

Kita man gud kasagaran we think short term. I once had a boss who taught me this:
Always think long term goals. Even if it's a series of short term goals that add up to the long term.

Kasagaran gud mga employee or employers ila lang huna hunaon: makakwarta for today. Pangwartahan ang customer for today. Pero dili tarongon ang serbisyo. Taxi driver tuyok tuyokon ang foreigner.

Nobody ever thinks that if you only work for your salary you will be miserable.
Employers never think that if you keep your employees happy you they stay longer and are more productive.
Businessmen never think that if you provide excellent service and AFTER sales service, it will add up to positive testimonies and recommendations. Mao na ang uban kausa ra mobalik ang customer kai wa kauyon.
Taxi drivers never think that if you treat foreigners fairly they will come back to your country. IF imo ilaron di nana mobalik diri. Mosumbong na sa uban. Patay atong tourism industry. All because of one stupid taxi driver who thinks in the short term.

like ive said KNOWLEDGE + COMMON SENSE = WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE - COMMON SENSE =NONSENSE.
actually, I run my Line of Business by Common Sense. and common sense can easily attain agreement as its what people see as logical and generally acceptable. if I get arguments based on whats written on books... I easily say...it could be true and may work..at the onset of when it was written..but time and circumstance constantly evolve...applicability is dependent on the situation at hand...what we read in books definitely was truth when it took place..but now is a different story..common sense can break all boundaries..

i would like to rebut on this.

first and foremost we are talking about intelligence here
and not just intelligence but how to improve our intelligence

relying on your judgement does not improve your knowledge,
    it improves your experience
ah wait, oh yeah trial and error.... science

next is this, common sense is only applicable to things you are doubtful of
just like your line of business, you need approval
but actually it is already found in some other business and psychology books

but in other professions, we depend on books
lawyers, doctors, priests etc... do you think they depend on just plain common sense?
do you really think that a doctor can heal somebody just plainly by common sense
this is one reason why education is really important
we have to widen our knowledge so that we can catch up with the world
just like now that we have the internet
    we have facebook
we have to understand the computer itself that is why we have computer classes

that is why for the students especially those who are in elementary, they should try to read
    information is found in books
this is what they need to gain knowledge
the purpose of being a student is to study
and after that they can apply what they have learned

common sense is part of being human
we are all equipped with it
if you don't know a particular topic then you don't just plainly say something about it.
you have to research it and understand it
that is why books where created

florida.blanca made a comeback on the court and drive his way towards the inside for a quick shoot; however, butong gave an unexpected block.

yennaihs caught the wild ball for an easy shot from the center.

10 mins on the 4th quarter and we now have a tie.

Im definitely there..yes..books are necessary dependent on how much you need them for your profession.. which is why I said as disclaimer that its just me and based on my own experience. My response was to support some idea that it is not all reading books that will get you where you want to be in terms of intellectual power. How do you define intellectual power? There are more than one ways. 1. of or relating to the intellect, as opposed to the emotions . 2. expressing or enjoying mental activity - EXPRESSING - this is where I think that Common Sense frontlines. We read..we memorize, we enumerate, fill in the blanks, but without a respectable level of Common Sense..what you read and memorize will just remain to be words that are written in books and will not apply to what works in the real world. The doctors, as your example, without such level of Common sense will not be able to analyze and diagnose more effectively if they will only rely on itemized chronologic series of words in their books.

"next is this, common sense is only applicable to things you are doubtful of"- now this is where you lacked research so you shouldnt tell me to not talk cz I ddnt research.. Common sense isnt just applicable when you are doubtful. you have totally discredited your common sense and what allows you to grandstand in your comments - that is common sense, something that you have must havg lots of but you're not acknowledging it. Thats frustrating...

OT: why do people dwell too much on a word? Intelligence, common sense, blah blah blah.. tinubagay nasad ni diri..hahaha

Ont: di naman jud mausab ning present nato, ang future nalng ato hisgotan. IMO, Education is still the best & the only gift we can give them (unless datu ka nga pwede apilan og cash). In this case, we need the Gov't to help us out on raising the bar in education. Next to that is the support & guidance from the parents/Family.

i dont understand why people sir just dont get it? everyone can learn to read and write and memorize whatever is in the book but common sense? most of people dont have it. no matter what yienahhs say,i just dont think it makes any sense when one say that life is not about common sense. there are some things in the book that you can probably apply in real life but how do you reckon those author made those books?it wasnt copy pasted ofc!

like they always say, alot of people are smart but only few got common sense which makes them dumb . im sure most business people would agree that common sense is much preferable
