I've got a Tokay which is a bit strange. He's missing his tail and he stays low on the ground instead of high up like normal. Also he stays out in the open during the daylight rather than hiding. He's clearly not a juvenile so I'm wondering how he managed to survive for so long?
Yeah it's definitely a Tokay. I've caught several before, but never kept them as pets as I find them too aggressive. I found him originally on the ground below a streetlamp one night so I picked him up and took him home. He was very skinny so I've been feeding him and he eats a superworm each day. He still tries to bite me at every opportunity, but he's looking more healthy than before so I guess I'll release him soon.
and this is definitely not a product of natural genetic mutation or selective breeding...BUT..a product of selective color manipulation using photoshop. the colors are screaming OVER SATURATION!
look at what I did with the original image using photoshop below. I took the image and manipulated some target colors on the body without affecting much the color of the wall and the red body dots. I desaturated those target colors and turned the tokay into a light-hued specimen.
