Bro, I take it you have not been oriented on business ethics. Ako I have worked with large corporations and every one of them has a policy in place regarding accepting extravagant gestures from clients. This is especially true for employees that interact with clients in business transactions. It is considered a misconduct to accept extravagant offers, gifts, privileges and perks from our clients. While it may appear to be a friendly and harmless gesture gilikayan nalang gyud na daw to avoid conflict of interest and affecting moral judgement in terms of making business decisions.

That type of work ethic applies to both the government and the church (ambot lang sa church). Of course there are reasonable limits. Kung tagaan ug Emperador ang pari ok ra na. Pero kung tagaan na gani ug Johnny Walker Blue Label makataas nana ug kilay.

As much as possible, bro, NEVER gyud na dawaton mga ing-ana na offers from both sides even if it is just in good faith.

The last time I checked, Jesus never asked anyone to build a church. At least not in a physical sense. So, yes, the church is the people. It is not within stone walls and pillars built by man. Wasn't that what god said? His kingdom and his church is not of man.

So nagwonder lang ko why naai pari. But anyway, that's besides the point. I guess most of us know by now that roman catholic was of course created by the romans not by christians or god.

This is only isolated to the catholic church. If books like the da vinci code are reasonably correct, catholicism was born out of the need for christians and pagans in the roman empire to unite (end the civil war). So to establish common ground they combined the beliefs of multiple religions into one. Thus, Roman Catholicism was born, everyone is happy and Emperor Constantine saw that it was good.

Other churches only have evangelists and preachers and they are usually on a per-church-basis of influence. That's why you will not see born again pastors passing one of their followers to another unless unavoidably necessary. I know this because nakauyab ko ug born again and I had neighbors who were. Nagwonder ko why one had to go to Mandaue when Bethel Temple (a born again church in b. rodriguez) was right out their front door. So that was their explanation.

all i can say is.. i have no faith on the priest bishop etc.. but i still have a strong faith in God and Jesus Christ... they cannot be called men of God because those so called men of God care for the poor... they dont live in mansions and they dont eat like rich people do... they dont live like a the poor scavenging for food and so on... they dont find food.. they are given food.. even on a silver platter....

Default Bishop Juan de Dios Pueblos asked Gloria Arroyo for a car as b’day gift

“It is in this view that I am asking a favor from your Excellency. At present, I really need a brand-new car, possibly a 4 x 4, which I can use to reach the far-flung areas of Caraga. I hope you will never fail to give a brand new car which would serve as your birthday gift to me. For your information, I have with me a 7-year-old car which is not anymore in good running condition. Therefore, this needs to be replaced very soon."
