    answer me why is this:
"Davao city is considered as the richest city in the country outside Metro Manila, with P4.11 B annual budget..."

"The city government is earmarking P4.11 billion for this year's budget, about P80 million higher than last year’s, without introducing new taxes. In fact, Davao City is the 5th richest city in the Philippines after Makati (P10.1 billion), Quezon City (P9.4 billion), Manila (P7.3 billion), and Pasig (P5.3 billion), making Davao as the richest city in the country outside Metro Manila."

confident ra ky ka dodong sa imong syudad, aha man na rank imong Cebu City dha? try to do some resarch lol... tsk tsk tsk... shock ka? lol, of course DOTA ra man guru imo nahibaw-an, hahaha...

to add to that, answer me again with this:

"On the international front, the economy has been opened to global competition, through a tariff, private investments has Davao City's economy is steadily growing in the last two decades. The City has shifted counting investments from millions in the '80s to billions in the '90s and pool of skilled workforce. With close to 1.5-Million people as primary market base, the city is conducive to business as evidenced by the presence of the country's top 200 companies. Inflow of investments has been remarkable in the last ten years. Exports in the City is now a billion dollar industry with a growing niche market for its products. The stable banana and flourishing pineapple industries are among the country's leading export commodities."

kinsa may 20 years behind ron? LOL!

Davao is bigger in terms of land area compared to CEBU na island lang yet gi budgetan sa govt. ug 3B like what you said. Yaw kalimot nga ang davao comprises of Davao Oriental, Davao del SUr and usa pa ka lugar dha ug nakadawat lang ug 4B..and YES DAVAO is really 20 years behind in terms of economic progress.

If you say Davao is the richest country outside MM, its very IRONIC, mga tao sa CEBU nanarbaho then you say its richest? I suggest those dabawenyos who are working here right now, layas namo diri shooo.shooo. barogi inyong giingon na richest, pakaulaw lang..mga bagag nawng, sa CEBU pa mo nanguha ug resources..

Recently, the entry of business process outsourcing (BPO) firms such as call centres have contributed much to the growth of the local economy. BPO sites are scattered throughout the city. During the last years of the 1980s, growth has been spread to the countryside. Thus the name Queen City of the south. Aside from shellcrafts, rattan furnitures and stonecraft, tourism may well rake in dollars."

LOL to that...
BPO is just an add on to CEBU's economy. 2005 lang when BPO started to boom, prior to that naa nami MACTAN EXPORT PROCESSING ZONE, which houses big factories like TIMEX,LOALDE,PENTAX, TAMIYA and other Japanese and Taiwanese firms, CEBU BUSINESS PARK is alslo established plus CEBU's furniture and real estate are booming na daan before that BPO came into place. We also have the APO Cement, the coal and mining corps here in CEBU and even the TSUNESHI shipping lines from JAPAN, the shared profits for CEBU PACIFIC, CEBU FERRIES and even CEBUANA LHUILLER whose investors preferred to pour some investments sa CEBU. Removing BPO from the picture may not affect CEBU's economy though usa cya sa mga nipalambo sa lugar but dili lang na mao ang gisaligan sa CEBU.

ang Cebu City is i think 1/8 ra sa total land area sa Davao City, pero their incomes are close to each other, nakalabaw lang ug margin ang davao

Gikan lang ko Davao last week and its my fifth time sa lugar, at this time I stayed somewhere in San Pedro St. MY HOTEL.

All I can say is Dabawenyos are BIG TIME VIOLATORS....

    Ingon nila:

    Dabawenyos Disiplinado? X
-Saw some "jaywalking sign" but bisan asa lang labang mga tao didto.
-Very weird ilang NO SMOKING POLICY, yes there were reminders sa mga estalishments na No Smoking but common sense even without those posters bisag asa if naa sulod sa usa ka establishments its a "no no" man jd ang cigarette and whats very IRONIC kay sa gawas mismo nag atbangay pa ang mga security guards ug panigarilyo and spotted cigarette butts all over the streets. tsk..tsk.tsk.

Try to walk from San Pedro st. (which naggikan ko) down to Magallanes then padung sa city hall and some other streets which dili nako familiar.

I also went to Abreeza and the real scene from the mall is ang kalanangan atubangan sa robinsons supermarket and unfortunately giulan mi adto, even the sidewalks maglisud kag agi kay lapokon and daghan bato2x ug sagboton pa gyd. Gilakaw namo Abreeza padung VP kay medyo nihit sakyanan.

We passed by G-mall fronting the mall kay mga baligyaan ug sapatos man to ug pagkahugaw na lang gyd sa gamay na canal ug mga basura.

True enough na if moadto ka sa davao in a rainy season be sure to bring a boat with you kay baha baha jd didto.

Pagkamingaw pd sa airport didto. Delayed amo flight going to CEBU kay Air traffic congestion daw didto Mactan Airport.

That's what they call the richest?

Let's all drop the ball CEBUANOS kay Davao is not worth aguing for.. The CITY is POOR, nagdghan lang ug ambisyon but kutob lang sila sa ambisyon. I give KUDOS to Cagayan instead which i also stayed there for 1 day. I find the place more progressive than Davao, kuraot mga taxi sa davao haha while kasagaran sa cagayan de avanza.

and to all dabawenyos who are claiming dato ilang lugar.. shame on you guys...well maybe in the future but presently "You're nothing but just trying hard, EMULATORS..."
