While AI was one of the premier scorers in the NBA, I don't think he qualifies as one of the best point guards in history, simply because he never played like one. He's really a shooting guard stuck in a PG's body. Even though he scores a lot, the downside of his game is that he needs to constantly hold the ball to be effective. Even though he's quick, he's also a poor defender and relied more on gambling to get steals, leaving his man wide open.

There's no questions about his talents but I hate his attitude towards the game. He loathed practice and even though at the twilight of his career, still thought like he was the main man.

Even if his attitude has changed, a lengthy lockout could prove to be very damaging for aging veterans such as him.

Yeah, I think AI was more of a scorer than a playmaker...I just didn't like the way he ended his NBA career..i think its because of where he came from...but if he was educated and properly taught the values of basketball, he shouldve been playing last season..
