IMO what she did was wrong no doubt about it. If this is tolerable in your family then your crazy more so if you are the mayor that have a bigger responsibility. Tolerating this will only ruin your upbringing of children more so in this case, the people. In God there is only good and bad, you cannot justify bad to be tolerable. nuff sed

another person who seems to be upright but refuses to see the logical explanation to the situation.

of course it is wrong to punch someone in the face. But can we say a person is wrong when he was provoked even if it was approached fairly and nicely to begin with? She might has lost her cool. But that doesnt give us the position to condemn such act, human as we are we ALL commit mistakes...and in this case....so did the sheriff.

I think you got that back to front. It seems obvious to me that we expect too little from our leaders ie. have dreadfully low standards and expectations.

UP Law Professor Atty. Ricardo Sunga: ang pananakit, pagmamaltrato ay maaring tingnan bilang isang di pagkilala sa halaga sa kanyang dignidad. Saligang Batas nagsasabi na a public office is a public trust........ a certain expectation that this public official will carry out the law and be respectful of human rights.

the sheriff is an employee of the court and not of the mayor. he was there to serve an order given by the court. if mayor duterte really wanted to "help" then adto siya sa court para unta na stop ang demolition. luoy intawn ang sheriff and i pity him. it only shows that the dutertes can only topple the weak kay ordinaryong empleyado ra sa gobyerno ang kaya nila sumbagon. it would have been a lot of fun kung ang judge mismo nga nag hatag sa demolition order ang iyang gisumbag. maybe you should also try to look kung unsa gyud ang trabaho sa sheriff at that time before pud ka mo comment diha kay utro pud ka wala naka sabot kung unsay trabaho sa sheriff. (well, kung ako pud ang sheriff i could have called up the judge pagka kita palang nako ni mayor duterte and let them talk)

kung ikaw ang sheriff nya nag nag serve ka kung court order for the demolition nya ako si duterte nya sumbagon ta ka. unsa kaha imong bati-on?

funny how you people glorify her for what she did.maybe it be for her so called "humanity" or whatever but what she did was very unprofessional and unethical for an elected official.

You agreed that it is wrong what she had done ("of course it is wrong to punch someone in the face.") Your statement after is clearly justifying just because we are humans we can get away with this act? Is that you logical explanation your holding dearly, remember being provoked or lost cool doesnt exempt her. I dont know why you see good in that act. When provoked she should have THINKED first before the landed those punches, that should have not been the only solution. She has herself to blame what she had done was wrong, which i think she did not ackowledge.
