from socorro mag habal habal ka padung baranggay san jose mao na cya jump off point. look for baranggay captain miro atoc, he can help you look for a guide.

    have fun brad!!
thanks so much for ur reply. u hav confirmed that my alternative plan is doable.
thats actually my plan B if i cant find other people or group i can join with going to sohoton. but i guess i wont be trekking since im alone. hehe how much did u pay for the habal2? wer did u stay?

i'll probably spend a night there. diba naa man mga byahe from bucas grande to some barangay south of the city, instead of going back to san jose or dapa and take a ship back to the city...
i want to avoid going north since im planning to proceed south to tandag/bislig.

are you coming from siargao? or from surigao city
mao ni mga pletehan sa ako mahinumduman if you are coming from siargao.

    -from dapa - socorro - 100

-habal habal going to barangay san jose - 30 (kalimot ko kung mao ba jud ni name sa barangay ha basta ig ask nimo ingna lang asa ila Kapitan Miro Atoc. If nana ka didto pangtaa si Loloy nga anak ni Manoy Jo or maski kinsa sa iyang mga igsoon, ako na amigo, mao pud na nag guide namo several times na. he can also help you arrange a small pump boat to tour you around suhoton. you can spend the night at the guard house managed by Miro's brother and just pay 25 pesos or maybe Loloy can offer you a shelter, he mentioned naa man cla payag didto sa duol. There will be fees when you tour suhoton so make sure you bring some cash. Wala pud kay makit-an pagkaon didto, pwede mo ma-mana ug isda ni loloy like what we did or i suggest you bring ba-on.

-if dili ka mo trek kay i think you can rent a pump boat for 1,500 to take you to suhoton pero dili na overnight. I strongly suggest you trek, daghan kayu ka nindot maagian. ok ra ikaw ra usa, ganahan gani kayu ko kung ako ra usa. there are 2 trails, ang usa sayun pero mas layu, ang usa kay medyo lisud gamay pero mas duol, both are very enjoyable if you like trekking.

-upon leaving, you can arrange a special trip from suhoton to hayanggabon (medyo mahal kay special trip man) or you can trek back to san jose and balik ka socorro and take a boat to cantilan (recommended) - 100

-from hayanggabon or cantilan i think there is a jeepney going to lanuza or diretso pud tandag or you can take the bus. kalimot na ko pila plete pero duol namanlang na. then you can proceed to bislig

enjoy your trip bai. if you want to go to suhoton cheap, i strongly suggest this itinerary. kung adto kas siargao manukad it's at least 5k for the trip. that's almost 4 hours na trip on a boat, very boring, wala kay makita. ig abot nimo sa suhoton, luya na ka (that's how i felt on my last trip there) hehehe, plus you won't get to spend the night kay day trip ra na cya.

oh and one reason why i recommend you spend the night there is because you will have time to visit the caves (crystal and bolitas cave) and a couple of lakes. and probably go to some nice secluded beach. if day tour ra ka, dili makaya kay limited ra oras nimo and your bucas grande experience will just be like everybody else's
