US citizens don't care for call center work, Naa na silay pride especially in their backround of education and intelligence, ma insulto rana sila if College Grad sila nya mu work lang sa call center. By their standards its a low end, dead end job.

dili na sila kapugong ug outsourcing... kai most americans grabe ka tapulan and besides if they stop american companies to outsource maski on the field of CS lang, these companies will be forced to downsize kai mahal kaayo ang labor didto thus they outsource nya american are not that efficient when it comes to CS, not to mention other fields.. so unsa may effect sa economy ana nila??

or worst comes to worst, companies will be forced to shoulder the penalty and raise their prices to cover compensate for the tax, or god forbid. relocate to another country while retaining the same market. for sure daghan jud mosalo ana nila offering tax-exempted pa.

Even if e balik ang low end jobs didto, temporay rasad na sila mu work ana or if no choice na gyud nga walay ma kaon. IF ever naay lain options nga less maka uwaw nila di gyud na sila mu work ana.

The call center industry will follow the way our factories.

The chinese are learning how to speak english well. they have already set up and run schools for this sole purpose. In 10 years or less, they will have workers lined up for BPO jobs, highly trained, very fluent and very qualified at salaries not even 1/4 of what our call center agents demand.

When that time comes, it will only be logical that call center companies will transfer their operations to China.

Besides, there are certain areas in China that has liberal trade regulations that allow 100% foreign owned businesses to operate. That would be very attractive to American or European investors as compared to the Philippines where they are only allowed to own up to 40% (a minority stake) of a business.
