I don't know sa BRT if mo jive ba siya sa road revo kay 30% for motored vehicle is very small para sa Buses.
Bitaw pud sir, kinanglan tingale i-adjust ang ratio. ^_^ But I think bisan 2 normal lanes lang para sa buses ok na, kay anyway, mga wala man pud ang mga jitneys na pataka lang ug pwesto, then another 2 lanes for taxis and private vehicles, and one or half a lane lang para sa bikes. In any case, we'll be needing wider roads (or flyovers kung di na pwede mag-road expansion). UNfortunately, not all the areas sa city pwde butangan ug flyover, so not all parts sa Cebu pwede mahitabo ni.

Edible gardens? pwede ra ta mamunit diria dayun para panihapun? hehe.

@ monroy: Yeah the idea seems to unrealistic and crazy. Some points need to be adjusted. But during critical times like this, we need crazy and out-of-the box ideas to solve matters like global warming, flooding etc.

As usual, a very great idea but I strongly doubt if it will turn into a reality.
Maayo ra sa plano pero walay implementation.

i disagree.. during critical times it becomes even more important to be level-headed and plan things carefully and set realistic expectations so you can avoid going overboard and doing something you will later regret.

germans thought exterminating the jews was a good idea too because they were in crisis at that time and according to hitler they needed radical solutions... just an example, obviously this is a different matter altogether but the principle still applies.

naa may simple nga solution ani. just follow the first world countries and how they balance pedestrians, bikes, cars and buses on the road because that's the best way to improve.

Cebu actually has great weather for cycling. Heat is irrelevant. Sydney is actually hotter, but it has one of the most impressive cycling networks in the world.

Proponents of bike lanes however, are at a terrible disadvantage. Bati ang existing infrastructure sa Cebu. It will be very difficult to fit bike lanes into our city's narrow roads.

Still, I support the initiative. This just needs more lobbying to get done. Cebu is such a small city, and we'd do well with a better mass transport system and less vehicles with only 1 to 2 people inside.

EDIT: I forgot to mention better enforcement of road rules. I'm sorry but Pinoy drivers are some of the worst I've seen on the road. No etiquette ang kasagaran diri, labi nang mag motor.
