Work for Filipino Accountants in SG

Hi everyone!

I'm not sure if this thread should be merged with the "Working in SG - Experiences and Tips" thread but I'm just doing a little customization for the accounting field, especially because most of the jobs discussed in the existing SG thread are IT-related.

Although the MOM, SPASS, EPASS, and IO experiences in that thread are very relevant, I just want to sort out the experiences of accounting jobhunters in this section. Experiences like what industries in SG demand the most accountants; if they hire people with 1-3 years of experience or mostly, 5+ (or it all depends sa timing jud); headhunters; and the like.

I humbly think nga dapat adto gihapon ni sa "Working in SG - Experiences and Tips" mabutang. Naa man pod tay mga Singatoryans nga Accountants Maam. I myself is in the same field as yours.

Anyway, on your questions, mao ni akong ikatampo:
1) Industries nga in-demand ta
----Mix man man. Daghan man klase-klase nga business in SG. And most if not all businesses, needs an accountant man jud. SG being an international business hub, in-demand jud ang accountants, di bah?

2) Experience
---- Syempre, mas daghan ka og experience, mas maayo. Pero usahay, ang relevance sa imo experience to the position & company type that you applied for would matter a lot pod.

3) Headhunters
---- I would suggest that you wont give yourself a limit. Apply taman sa ginhawa. Newspaper, online jobsites, headhunters, job fairs, forums and yahoo groups, etc. Daghan ta og sources of job openings.

Akong closing remarks, , usahay, daugon pod sa istorya. Ig-interview, make yourself hire'rable at the price that you are comfortable with.
