Default 3Ds Max Tutorial: Modeling BMW A3

first of all, para lang ni sa mga uyamot ug baguhan sa 3ds max modeling. katong mga advance user
tudlui intawn mi ninyo unsay mga teknik.

    sugod ta.
before ta makasugod, wee need a reference picture. ako i-attempt ug model ang BMW A3
    sama ani.

next, atong i-extract ang 4 views top, front, side and rear.you can use any photo editing software
in my case I use corel draw (di ko kamao mag PS gud)

after nato makuha ang views, take note sa iya size kay mao pud ni nga size sa plane ( dili airplane hap)
    atong gamiton unya sa max

so let's go to 3ds amx application, open 3ds max. Karon unahon nato ug buhat ang front reference view.
in front viewport, create a plane. click number 1 then select plane. click bisan asa sa front viewport
then drag. in ani result. edit the size exactly the same size sa imong front view Jpeg created ganiha.
position it at zero. step 2

this time ato i add ang front view jpeg into max by adding it as material map sa plane we just created.
step 1 click material editor. step 2 select (click) material slot step 3 click ang gamay nga square
buttong tapad sa diffuse. step 4 collapse "standard" option step 5 double click "bitmap"

on the dialog box, pangitaa imong front view jpeg file the select/open

i attach ang Jpeg sa plane. step 1 select plane. step 2 click 3rd button from the left " attach to object"
step 3 click " show map on viewport". step 4 check "use real world scale". step 5 edit the size exactly
to the size of the plane

repeat steps on other views. for top view create plane at top viewport and select the next
    material slot on the editor

you should have a set up like this. arrange the planes for better view.

sa wa pa kabalo, kanang colored arrows mao nay usa sa gitawag na "gizmo/s" maka drag ka anywhere
depende kung asa nimo ibutang imo mouse kung sa "Z" z direction rapud sya maka atras or forward.
the same ra pud sa x ug y. likewise pud if ibutang nimo sa square imo mouse, kana ra nga plane
imo pwede ma lihukan. try to experiment.

in max, the faster you model the better so kinahanglan tag keyboard shortcuts.
go to "customize" menu then "customize user interface"

I highly recommend nga naa gyud mo ani nga mga commands. pangitaa sa menu then assigni ug shortcut sa keyboard.
in my case i use the commands everytimesa akong duwa para di malimtan ( ex WASD)
    *front view W
    *top view A
    *side view S
    *perspective view D
    *connect edge (poly)
    *cut(poly)
    *display as see through toggle
    *maximize viewport toggle
    *ring
    *sub object level 1
    *sub object level 2
    *sub object level 4
    *target weld (poly)

start modeling. akong pamaagi is magsugod ko ug single plane. step 1 and 2 create 1x1 plane.
by default 4x4 ang buhaton sa max.step 3 iplastar imong plane sa viewport by using the arrows.

convert plane into "editable poly". step 1 select plane and right click. step 2 select "convert to"
step 3 "convert to editable poly.

ang plane mahimo na nga polygon, naay vertex naay edge ug naa face nga pwede nimo i drag, rotate,
    scale copy extrude etc..

sometyimes kinahanglan nato i transparent ang model so use your short cut nga "display as see through toggle".
click the plane and apply your shortcut.

modeling in max is simply arrang arrange lang ug vertix/edge/ or face. usahay imo i cut/weld extrude etc..
arrange vertices subay sa reference pic

padayon. i copy ang edge to extend. to copy step 1 select edge nga copyhon. step 2 hold shift then drag. diha
hawid sa mga colored arrows depende asa ka padung. release drag ma copy n na sya like shown below.

padayon,do the same to outline the ref pic.

youcan change the views in viewport, use your shortcut
