Sir akong ika suggest nimo kung magbuhi kag scorpion is "Never Handle your pet"
Even if it is mildly venomous or a deathstalker...

sir dili sila poisonous, but dubbed as "venomous". Poisonous meaning toxic if ingested or makaon, venom however is kinahanglan ug medium, for example for a scorpion is its sting, before ka mala-son.

Advice? since you said that you have kids, consider the fact that a child's reach (same goes to pets) is critical to where you place your specimens.

Better prepare a place out of childrens hand-reach and out of the place where traffic goes by (example, duol sa kusina, duol sa sala, duol sa portahan). Much better if you have a room intended for your exotic pet.

Price wise, remmeber that Begginer Scorpions like Emperor are much mahal compared to Level 3's today. Better start with cheap-o Heterometrus sp. and on 2nd instar.


Handling is to be discouraged and for intermediate keepers only. Always ask for guidance in transferring specimens during rehousing if your not yet comfortable of transferring them.

Sir scorpions and tarantulas are pet that I consider, for your eyes only... Minimal handling is very much advisable. Also research on what you are planning to acquire. Maski unsa na pets, research first kay para d mapiligro imong self ug sa imong I.pet...

better, dnt get stung! venom tolerance varies from specie to specie. Level of venom is not enough, for example you get stung by a level 1 scorpion and you realized just yet that you have an allergy on it, awww... piti~
