honestly, this video is tragic.
A real tragedy.
I think this is enough and we should not settle for mediocrity.
wala pa ganeh labot diri ang katung OFWs nga gipatay sa China, ang mga OFWs nga gipaslakan ug drugs sa iyaha or gipakaun ug drugs, wala pay labot ang naa sa libya nga nagubot, ang naa sa deportation area sa Saudi. Indeed, pinoy life is hard.

I am with TS on this one.

...it’s best not to be proud of an accident of birth. It makes no sense to be proud of something you cannot control. Be proud of achievements. And just because you’re not proud doesn’t mean you’re ashamed. You just know how to keep your hot air in check.

TS is not pointing fingers. TS is merely showing a video of the other side of the Philippines that MOST people would prefer to deny.

I am not proud of being a Filipino. I did not choose to become one. I oftentimes wonder why, of all the other great nationalities in the world, did I become a Pinoy.

I am not proud of being a Filipino, nor am I ashamed. I am at least proud that I'm not ashamed of being one.

this thread is another wake up call for filipinos!

as what i've been saying, i will be proud being a pinoy, if and ONLY IF there's this something that we would do that we can consider COLLECTIVE ACHIEVEMENT

i won't be proud being a pinoy just because pacquiao won, or charice was on glee, or penalorida was titled CNN hero of the year! just because it was achieved by a pinoy doesn't mean i would have to ride on with their achievement and be proud as well! that's SHAMEFUL!

SHAME ON YOU pinoys who ride with their achievements and drag yourselves as filipinos and being proud of it!

On a side note, saying out loud your "pride of being a Cebuano" doesn't give out good signals either.

Say a man at work who is a true-blooded Waray overheard your triumphant roars. That could be a sticky situation, you saying that your ethnicity is a lot more worthy than his. It is this mentality creates a divide among the Filipino people in the first place.
