if u already own other apple products (i.e. ipod touch, macbooks, iphone) i would recommend that you buy the ipad2 so you dont need to buy new apps. Same goes to Android products, if you already own several android devices then buy the Galaxy Tab.

touch technology of apple > android products, mainly because apple controls both sw and hw of its products.

if you buy an ipad2, you will get free iOS updates for free as soon as they are available but if you buy android products, your device will not be the updated to the latest OS as soon as they are released (depending on the OEMs, you get the latest after 6 months or later )

if your main purpose is to read ebooks, both are good, go for the cheaper one.

if you want to watch movies then buy the galaxy tab that way you don't have to convert video files to mp4.

you could wait for ipad2 to get cheaper... rumors have it that ipad3 will be released this september... but again rumors ra hap XD wla pa sd specs g release regarding ipad3...

I've tried both the galaxy tab and the ipad, I would say, go for the ipad.
