Why do Filipino movies suck?

Naa man pud mga hitech nga equipment nga maka gamit ang pinoy.. i think, ang problem man lang gud, kay ang MONEY to produce a movie... kay first and foremost, ang huna hunaon sa producer kay unsaon pagbawi sa iyahang money... matud pa nila, mao bitaw gitawag na ug... SHOW BUSINESS... kay it's a business.....

Strange sound... clearly, more often than not, the conversation is recorded in a separate studio so it sounds unnatural. In between words there's deathly silence. We don't have good Foley artists yet.

I wont directly say that filipino movies sucks
but here's my observation...
Eddie Garcia, FPJ, Dolphy...just to name a few, are those of the top brasses when it comes to Philippine movies.
And, yet, the way they act or perform never failed to raise an eyebrow in my part and made me wonder...hey are they really that good as they are rated (in the Phils) to be?

Fernando "FPJ" Poe, the way he portrays a character is just like the same character acted in all of his movies---manner of speech, bodily gestures and he's never reinventing himself to a different character. And it's like the character in the story is more being fitted to his persona rather than him (FPJ) trying to fit in that certain role.
Mura na hinuon sa tanan niya salida ang title ra ang lahi pero usa ra ang character, and yet he is dubbed as the King of Filipino Movies.
Same goes with Eddie Garcia...same acting style---speech, facial gestures. And....here he is, being an icon of Filipino Cinemas.
Dolphy? Do I need to repeat? hahaha

My point is, in any of their movies ma-ilhan gyud sila even ilahang anino or shadow---they are more Eddie Garcia or FPJ than the character they're suppose to portray...very redundant and predictable ilahang "acting".

And forgive me...I can't help but compare to Hollywood films, which usually, dili gyud ka kaila dayon sa actor/actress playing that certain role because they are ACTUALLY playing that role and in so into character that you will just be shocked to notice..."hey it's Tom Cruise, or Dustin Hoffman or Kate Blanchet"
As in gyud....lots of time I watched a flick w/o even bothering looking who's starring it... usually dili ko kaila dayon sa mga actors/actresses behind their roles

at least it has sense than just copy pasting video flicks or images kay gusto mu post pero wala'y ma sulti

also try observing Tito, Vic and Joey..their brand of comedy---punchlines, jokes & acting
try comparing their current movies to their own films 10 to 2o years ago try and see any difference
of the way they performed. well siguro you can see the efforts now trying to be more creative
with their attempt on "special effects" in Vic's fantasy flicks.

^ i couldn't agree more sir! actually, they were tagged that way because of the earning they got with their blockbuster hits...but seriously, filipinos need to know a movie that's been done in good taste and not just look at the actors and actresses who portray the same role and has the same story over and over again...heheheh...

we don't lack any equipments, and money is not that important in making a movie as long as sakto ang lights and sounds sa shooting...the problem lies with the masses..unsaon ta man kung ang typical pinoy, ingani ra jud ang gusto sa usa ka movie?? producers got no choice but to make what the masses wanted.. we have the brains to create a good story line...d lan jud xa mu hit sa takilya...sad but true.

naa pud ning mga mainstream actors and actresses nato which got very immaculate faces nga basta makumot lan ang nawong sa sigeg hilak, ma tag na as a good actor/actress.... siguro taas lan jud kog taste nuh but whenever i watch filipino films nga maghinilakay, d man lage ko mamove oi..hehehe...maybe because their cries and woes about life never reached me...the only film guro nga nakahilak ko kai katong Dedz na si Lolo...heheheh...tear jerker lan tong kanta nga gipatugtog sa last part sa film tong gilubong na ang lolo..

I just watched My Name is Khan and (Indian) and A Little Thing Called Love (Thai) last night. Great Films.

I think some Filipino Movies are just made in order to gain profit.

The movies here man gud, they don't have a good climax. The bitaw muulbo imong kaspa. It's like it's plain all over. Munindot lang kadjot mubati dayun after. They don't know how to attract attention and keep it.
