Why do Filipino movies suck?

Filipino movies are stress reliever for me. I don't have to think to get it, and no matter which part I missed on the movie, I surely can understand everything that happened. It's a good diversion to keep you sanity intact, no need for intellectual discussion, but should be avoided to those weak-heart audience, naa daw gi heart attack tan aw ug soap opera. I only watched filipino movies on vacation

I don't believe filipino movies suck, they're just designed for filipino audience (except Rizal, which doesn't suck at all). It's all about target marketing. If you're into foreign movies, french, russian, italian, etc... you will notice that a lot of their stories are copied by hollywood movies.

i think we share the same idea on this part Florida.Blanca. For the first time i won't negate on you....Filipino movies are sooo dragging and soooo unoriginal EXCEPT for the indie films (though some indie films have been tagged as Rated XXX but it got more sense than that of Star Cinema because it talks about reality and not just the three month rule from which I don't know who started the idea.)

really...tiring na ang balik balik balik balik nga idea sa mga salida nga pinoy oi...mas nindot pa tong old movies tong una..tong Daughters of Eve (affected kaayo ko sa salida not because of the porn part but because of the mentality of the characters sa story) then some indie film like KINATAY ni Coco Martin (not because of the porn part but because of the cinematography and because it shows you what really happens behind a murder as if naa jud ka didto mismo nagbuhat sa pagpatay) ug DEDZ NA SI LOLO (kai lami kaayo ug punto s Rod Paulate! hahah)...

unta lan marealize sa MTRCB ni...ug sa Star Cinema....kapoooooooooooyyyy tanaw salida about Family ties and about love life sa mga desperadang babae... there is more to Filipino life than the classic family ties, the bagua, and Bea and john lloyd....ug unta d nila kopyahon ang theme sa ubang nasod oi! hmmp!

Well, Filipino mainstream movies are very predictable and riddled with cliches. I try to stay out of it as much as possible. Our indie films, however, kick arse.

kung naa palang jud na silay kanang level up na training ba, kanang from romantic movies they switch to horror or suspense

i also like pinoys to have a movie like that of inception

I don't think maka buhat sila ug movie like inception..... mga kuripot man na sila gud.... bwahahahahaha....
