^^It's not that bad to be honest. You may find the interface a bit laggy on slower systems but its definitely a step in the right direction for Microsoft.

Isn't IE7 behind in the browser competition? I'd say Firefox and Opera are still better... including maxthon and avant too!

Both Maxthon and Avant utilizes IE engine. The real competition is really between IE and Firefox. Here's the latest browser stats: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp

IE6 has bout 55.6% share at the moment while FF has (slowly but surely increasing) 27.3%. IE7 only has 2.5%, but that could easily increase early next year when Vista ships.
