How about seeing to it that workers are actually paid paid the minimum wage? Too many small businesses getting away with not providing enough benefits to their workers, not enough leaves, and definitely not enough wages. I even recall seeing a thread in the business section with some asswipe gloating about it.

Paquiao is just one of the many district representatives in the lower house. This will not come into a statute right away, there will be deliberations and studies to the assigned committess, debates and votations. Three readings of the Bill and verdict on how the majority in quorum sees the proposed bill. Then this will be done as well in the Senate doing the same routine. Then it will be turned over to the office of the president for approval or veto the Bill will reason. In short it will take a long time pa to be a statute granting it will be agreed upon by congress. Let us just hope that the outcome of this push would will still be applicable and not immaterial to the price hike that rapidly mushrooms in our economy.

greed always comes first when it comes to business.
because of greed our businesses will not allow the right wages.

Dili greed, walay point ang business if all of the incomes goes to wages, and walay point sad ang business if ang income lower than that of regular professional jobs. Although naa gyuy uban nga nag ba badlong angay sad na sila dakpon.

Walay win-win situation kung mag away ang labor og businessmen. Demanding higher wages from businessmen when higher prices and inflation is not their fault is the essence of crab mentality. In other countries, if the workers suffer from higher prices or unemployment, they punish the government. In our country, when we have high inflation because of bad governance and corruption, the businessmen are made to pay. Where's the justice in that? I don't know why people vote for the same losers year after year that just make their problems worse with bad laws like this but maybe it's because they've been brainwashed into thinking businessmen are exploiters. The real exploiters and parasites are the politicians. Instead of demanding wage increases that hurt the economy, workers should demand better education, more investment in agriculture to bring down food prices and severe punishment for corrupt officials.

I know that minimum wage earners are suffering hardships but demanding wage increases is attacking the people who are not responsible for their problems. How about stop voting for politicians who are boxers, actors and others who have no idea how to run a country?

Make people more productive through education and lower red tape so businesses can set up shop more easily and invest in agriculture and we'll have natural and real improvement in living standards. That is the real win-win solution.

practically you have to be aggressive and careful with your money if you want to succeed in business.. or else if you're too lenient you'll end up running a charity.
But right wages should also be prioritized if you don't want your highly skilled and trained employees to look for another company.
Pero wage increase should also be carefully studied as other business especially the SMEs ang pinaka ma apektohan jud ana. Sometimes they dont have a choice but to layoff some workers and retain the best ones.

    Fully agree on this.

Kaso lang ang kaning mga politicians na we had hoped to alleviate the country because we have read their bios, knew what prestigious schools they attended, awards they received, etc., mao man sad gud ang pinaka-maru.

While we were all thinking na our problems were being taken care of, all of a sudden a big issue explodes in the news concerning some of these 'knowledgeable' involving several million pesos...

So, as voters, we are made to choose wisely --within what we know from the news concerning these individuals-- ug kinsa na politiko na nidagan ang di artista/boxer na di pud full-bloodied politiko na maru.

Where do you even begin to solve the problems of our country?

Pasalamat nalang gani ta na wa ta baha-a diri, a lot of people are living in evacuation centers right now!

We enjoy doing the same fail move over and over again. I'm not even sure Pacquiao has good intentions on this, you have to admire his accomplishments in boxing but at the same time question the unlimited greed of somebody who keeps going even after having amassed so much wealth. Murag pasikat ra ni ni pacquiao arun maka daug sa senado. Hopefully dili ingon ana ka bogo ang mga voter....
senado kakuyaw! maayo untag mapildi na si pacquiao aron dili na mosaka ang gara..
