USC ko kay nindot og mga facilities![]()
Depends gyud! sa Student then degreee program! hehe
I don't want to be biased pero hands down USC jud ko. Facilities, the people, quality of training, national ranking and lastly employment. Let's break everything down. Shall we?
Firstly, Facilities. USC provides the most adequate facilities it can offer to various programs especially CAFA (College of Architecture and Fine Arts). It offers courses like Cinematography, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Painting, Advertising, etc. For SBE (School of Business and Economics), it has it's own SchoTel and students are given a chance to have their OJT abroad, in California, Singapore City and to name some. College of engineering also offers an extensive number of programs in consortium with other schools in Manila. 95% of it's lecture rooms, drafting labs, libraries, studios are airconditioned.
Secondly, the people. It has been a misconception that Carolinians are all wealthy and with this, interested applicants become reluctant pursuing their studies in USC. For the record, there are a lot of working students in USC that fall under the average class. Personally, I think Carolinians are nice people to make friends with. I mean, everyone wants an environment that's safe and conducive for learning. After all, we don't go school to put on a fashion show or to brag on who has the thickest wallet. Bottom line is, were all here to learn.
Thirdly, national ranking. Based on the earlier postings made by our friends in this thread, USC falls 8th in the national ranking. For everyone who are interested to take up BSA, based on the May 2012 CPA board exam results survey made by PRC, USC is the number one top performing accountancy school in the entire country, nabbing 3 slots of the top 10. To add, USC is really good in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, BA programs, HRM, Tourism Management, Sociology-Anthropology, Law and Governance (PolSci)
Fourth and the last, employment. As a student of Human Resource Development Management, I had my OJT in Stream Global Services, a premiere BPO company in the country (formerly eTelecare). Assigned in the recruitment department, I noticed that products from USC are potentially what the company is looking for. In other companies as well, applicants who graduated from USC are prioritized during job interviews and searches.
Moreover, it's not important where or which university/college we attend, what matters most is that we should bear in mind that going to college is the preparation and when we graduate, that's when where we are being gauged. The real world isn't college instead, it is after we graduate and face the challenges.
In conclusion, I would still highly recommend USC to those who are about to step-foot to college as their top priority school.![]()
