Tallo leaves Ateneo: Right or Wrong Move?

I would agree with samsia.
First of all, ninong ni keifer si Coach Noirman Black..And if you remember before, dugay kaau nakatando ang ravena sa ADMU...Because of the package they want. Lasalle said yes and made the agreement taht Keifer will be the poiint guard and must have a playing time. Bong Ravena is a assistant coach of Talk and Text which owned by Manny V. Pangilinan and a prime financer of Ateneo....what do you expect?
Tallo's position is really hard to understand right now.....ADMU won't recruit tallo if they will say that he is still not fit to their system and be in the team A, The boy is not so stupid if he will not know where he stand.
1st year in Ateneo------Ravena, Monfort, Tiongson, Tallo are the pointguards
means 4th rotation si tallo
2nd year in Ateneo -----Ravena, Tiongson, Tallo
means 3rd rotation si Tallo
3rd year in Atentio ------ravena, Chris Newsome from New Mexico , tallo
means 3rd rotation si tallo
4th year in ateneo ----same rotation
For how long it will take for tallo to adjust the system of ADMU.
The reason why Tallo gave up the ADMU was when he is not included in the practice rotations anymore in preseason games how much more in UAAP. If the reason of Coach Norman Black that Tallo not yet fit is his system, why not train him during the practice, so the boy can adjust what they have. Why did he recruit Tallo and put hin in Team A if he is not ready..
Some players in ADMU gave an advise to Tallo that if he want a good education then he can stay in ADMU and study well, and forget basketball...but if he want basketball ...then he need to find another schools...
As the mother's post, BASKETBALL IS TALLO'S PASSION AND HOLD HIS EDUCATION....

So is this an admission then that ravena, tiongson, monfort and newsome are all better than tallo?

lahi rajud ang coach compared nato nga typical basketball fan ra...

kung para nato maayo na nga player mao gnahan ta ana niya..pero para sa isa ka coach dli mo fit sa iyang system...

or bsin naa hidden agenda si coach norman black nga ato ni kuhaon daan si tallo bsi maadto panig laing team nya mao rni mka guba nya sa akong system.. hahaha pero ambot murag wild ra kaau nga idea.. LOL

Kbaw mu Brad..C Ravena wala na ma MVP sa junior NBA. Saytanan rana ni Mac2x. Tallo was the mvp of junior NBA and talk n text player ng Bayan. Kailangan lang jud mudemand ug playing time. Taas gane ug playing time si Ravena na iya ra Saytanan.. haha

Nothing personal man bro.

I'm just driving home the point that Coach Norman didn't let Tallo play the PG position yet because he still has to learn their system.

Lisod man pasabton mga tao diri.. they think that Tallos talent or ability already gives him the right to play PG... that's why I said.. sila nalang mag coach kay ila man gi undermine ang judgment sa coach.

Basketball is not just about individual talent.. especially in a team like ADMU where wala sila mag kulang ug talent... they need better team play and this requires everyone to work within the system.

Not Norman Black, not Paollo Trillo (team manager), not his fellow players (some of whom gave him clothes), not the dorm manager where his dad stayed for free when he was in Manila, not even the person who nurtured his playing career here and brought him to the Ateneo team. Bisan ra to say "thank you, but I have to go for my future basketball career".

That makes him look like an irresponsible player, pwede ra mubiya sa team any time when things don't go his way. Mutan-aw man coaches ana, all the way up to the PBA level. This "small" move may forever taint his basketball career.

"Damaged goods" na siya from a recruitment standpoint for most schools. Something the parents should have thought about before making this move.

Agree with this gyud. If he really wanted to leave, he couldve handled the situation better.

Theres also the question of whether he will be able to play for another school immediately with the residency rules. Worst case is, masayang 1yr sa iyang playing career...

I think the dad ni tallo ang nag buot buot ani tanan. For other schools, delikado ni nga freshman pa lang unya magpa presyo na ug in-ana.
