    @ryan and other P990 owners,

    first of all, thanks for sharing your experiences with your P990. However, i wanna ask, is the battery lift really that bad also, have you encountered your fone restarting. coz i read in gsmarena and lots of the owners are complaining that it hangs and restarts. i dunno if the the update really fixes these glitches. coz i'm planning to change my P910i for a P990 coz the formers keypads go crazy. sometimes they're ok and sometimes when you type a certain letter, a different character appears. Moreover, i'm really pissed off with SE store in ayala. I ordered a cradle and a replacement keypad 2 months ago. Until now, wala ghapon. Totally unprofessional. So guys, hope you can advise whether i change to P990 or just repair my P910i. Hoping for your reply. Thanks in advance

    Your welcome.

    Battery life doesnt get drained at the end of the day. I have bluetooth on all the time because of my BT headset and Wifi off when im not using it and most of the time im not so its off usually. Others may tend to forget this and hence, battery drains really fast (1 Day) If you also listen to music like more the an hour a day, that too drains battery life from your phone, if you dont then I dont think you wil have any problems with battery life, I dont. I also charge every night.

    If you do this: Normal phone usage, Calling, receiving calls, contacts management (storing, deleting, customizing), Photo taking, PIM mananagement (Tasks, Calendar etc..). Listen to music, record videos, scan calling cards, play games and checking email.Then you should be alright, no restarts or errors expected here.

    Occasionally you may get kernel errors but they are just harmless messages that close aps in the background (I get this usually on contacts and messaging coz I have 1500 contacts and my messages reach up to 700+)

    You see, the P990 has a problem managing its memory, hence the kernel errors and worse, the restarts. You prolly get restarts if you use all the aps at the same time without closing them so dont forget to use task manager and end the applications you are not using. Internet Broswer also tends to exit sometimes when your surfing the net, another bug, but harmless and tolerrable since I dont surf a lot on my phone, I do on emrgencies via GPRS and it has saved me a couple a times already

    You shouldnt let SE ayala be your only source of SE products, check out semicon, or all the other Mobile phone shops, they should be able to help, or Manila, or check out the internet.

    The P990 is totally different from the P910 in terms of operation, be prepared to go through a learning curve (took me 3 days to adjust).

    Overall, im very happy with my P990 and just waiting for the latest firmware upgrade which should be out soon.

    Goodluck.

    @ryan,

    thanks for taking the time to answer my queries. Also, you mentioned about using task manager to end the applications to save memory. Is task manager the only way to do this? Coz in my P910i or even your P900, you probably had SMan that automatically shuts or flushes down the tasks everytime you close the flip. Also, do you think that these minor errors and restarts would eventually be a thing of the past when the newer firmwares are introduced? Thanks again!!!

    No Sman yet for P990. So task manager or download the freeware called swissmanager.

    Yes they will be a thing of the pass once the new firmwares are out.
