I thought I'd see how Garmin's own City Navigator® Southeast Asia NT (v6.5) compares to Roadguide.ph's contributor version (v1.25)

Except for Cagayan de Oro City, City Navigator seems to provide more street details and POIs than Roadguide.ph. But the errors and double POIs in City Navigator are also abundant.

I can't give a routing comparison between the two since I didn't test yet which gives more reasonable routes.

How about the file size? How do they compare to each other?

Of course mas bigger ang City Navigator® Southeast Asia NT (v6.5) since it contains several Southeast Asian countries sa iyang final img size when you upload to Garmin unit. But if you just select the Philippine map from the City Navigator® Southeast Asia NT (v6.5) for upload to Garmin unit, it's 48MB compared to Roadguide.ph Contributor version (v1.25)'s 60MB when uploaded to Garmin unit na. Ang OSM-Phil (latest) is paltry compared to the two. 31MB ra ang OSM-Phil map.

I'm using 1.27 version of the ROADGUIDE map. So far so good. Detailed kaayo cya.

I just wished mas daghan pa ma contributor ngadto so that we can even have a more detailed map.

So far sa cebu halos tanan streets naa na. Ang kulang nalang kanang mga ONE WAY. Ang uban areas dli updated ang ROUTING sa mga ONE WAY/NO LEFT TURN/NO RIGHT TURN.

PAPAGO got the rights from JKLINC (makers of the roadguide map) to use an "older" version of the ROADGUIDE map.

265w lang. Wanted the newer ones but the roadguide.ph contributor updates are more compatible with the older models so I opted for that model na lang sa. As of now, owners of the newer modes (the 4-digit models) have to use 1.24.x version while the 1.25 can be immediately be used by those who old the old models (the 3-digit models). Naghulat pa og patch ang mga owners sa mga newer models.

I'm told that MMDA is implementing a traffic monitoring system in Metro Manila (Interaksyon | TV5-MMDA Traffic Monitoring System). Hopefully, it will also be implemented also here in Metro Cebu. If ever naa nay TMC (Traffic Media Channel) dinhi sa Cebu, might get myself the newer ones which can receive FM traffic updates.
