you can't argue with a classic. James Joyce is widely considered to be one of the most influential writers of the 20th century. Finnegan is difficult to read mainly because its filled with obscure allusions even more than his previous book Ulysses. Sometimes I think you have to be a PhD to read these things... even tiring to read than Tolkien (who I think is probably an OCD
)...
