for that budget you can buy a imaster PSU. but if you want an 80+ certified PSU then add up a litter on the budget then get FSP 500watts for a price of 1.8k. both 9600gt and 9800gt can power up with that PSU. with no worries.

300 watts on current up to date systems is kinda dangerous, yes it can power the hardware but the psu is being run over capacity when the system is being run at its peak probably from heavy gaming. When it gets old enough and capacitors aged badly since its overworked there's a chance the thing could blow on you taking some of your hardware.

FSP is a hit or miss brand in its mainstream models (its as good as any generic model). Better get something more reliable and definitely not a 300 watt psu, a minimum 450 watts and up if you plan on sticking a mid end card in there.
