Unsa pa man imu mga nahibaw.an nga programming languages bro?

good, ayaw jd shift kay if makagraduate naka, daghan au ka masudlan na work na IT related ug daghan au work sa IT na dagko ug sweldo na wala ng need ug java programming. Advice nku nimo, sugod lang jd ug sabot sa basic then pghinay2x padong advance. IT pd ko and to be honest, usa ang java sa nalisoran jd nku na programming language (the other is VB.Net). Pero ok ra na. Pasara lang na ang IT and after ana, ing graduate nimo, gamita ang imo lain na nakat unan na ganahan jd pd nimo. For sure naa ka HTML, javascript, PHP o uban pa dha na programming language na maau ka.

And one more thing, ang imo na learn sa school, layo ra au na sa tinood na kinabuhi ing abot na sa panahon na mgwork ka. Enjoy lang and keep on learning. Ako karon, ng trabaho ko as a programmer gamit ang language/application na wla gitudlo sa school. And that is normal.

Lisud ang Java Lang kay tanang codes kay complex. Mao na nga gitawag na siya nga OOP (Object oriented programming). Para you'll make your way easier there's a lot of online help like API, from there you could see all of the codes needed and they even have an example for it.

Java is nothing compared to Assembly language and Embedded C...For computer engineering studes, focus on these languages and everything else will be fine. When you learn to physically plot a code inside the microprocessor/microcontroller system, bisan unsa pa na nga language diha, dali ra na sabton.

Hinaot dili ni ma-misunderstand as hinambog. Just sharing my insights.

When I was still a stude, I thought OOP/high level languages were difficult. Back then, maglaway ko basta makakita nako og Windows-based (GUI-based) na nga mga programs.

Pero after ko naka-experience og mga Windows-based/Internet-based apps, para nako, di na ingon ana ka-lisod ang mga GUI-based apps, much especially with the advancement sa mga development tools karon like Eclipse, JBuilder, .Net, sayon na lang gud na'ng mga ingon-ana nga developments. I had also experience developing applications for Mac OS X using Cocoa/Carbon (Apple's equivalent to C++/C#).

Being a computer engineering graduate, and after intensive experience on OOP, database development and internet designs, I realized nga I should change direction. Computer Engineer gud ko, ngano'ng magpabilin man ko's mga OOP?

Ning-shift ko og firmware development karon...For six years nga experience, satisfied kaayo ko as Firmware Engineer...Hardcore computer engineering kaayo tungod kay not only I am doing OOP, magdesign pa gud ko og embedded system, calculate power consumptions, analyze signals and waveforms, troubleshoot electronics board, learn different computer architecture and even designing a real time operating system.

Para nako, OOP is less risky and less challenging. In Embedded System/Firmware Development, one minor bug could mean a total recall of the products. In embedded/firmware, you have to learn to be careful on everything, from choosing which microcontroller chips to use up to how much the project should cost.

In embedded system development, you got to learn OOP and database too. Like for instance, i developed a USB device that "talk" to another gadget using radio frequency. In that development alone, we used C#, C (for device drivers), Macromedia Flash (for interactive user interface), 2.4GHz radio frequency technology, MySQL for database ug USB protocol.

Na hala, hinambog na lang gud ni'ng akoa...Hehehehhe...Pero bitaw, just want to share to my fellow Computer Engineers ug katong mga nag-eskwela pa og computer engineering, that there are other things in our field than programming/software engineering. You can go for automation, data communications, robotics, networkings and so on....Pwede pud mag ago-go dancer...Hehehehhe
