What are your thoughts on the Cebu Metro BUS?

di ba naa man to sa una katong PCBL ba to.. buses nga mo rota ug Mandaue-Cebu? anha gani to left turn sa Natio sa Mango, nindot to siya pero wala lang ma specify ug klaro ang bus stops mao siguro tong wala magdugay. kasagarang mga syudad nga ni adopt ani nga systema kay ok man. nindot lang jud kaayo ilang road systems maong dakog chance nga mo work. pero kung e dry run ni nila ug specific routes ie kanang existing Mingla-Cebu and Mandaue-Cebu unya e gahin lang jud ang right-most lane para ani nga buses unya naa jud designated bus stops, tan aw nako murag mo click ni siya. problema lang kay masangit inig agi dapit sa mga jeepney stops.

Nabankrupt ang PCBL kay usa sa tag-iya nalulong sa masamang bisyo.

.. finally, i saw the bus in action. hehehe. It's not that big, it's windows are clear, no tint; maybe this is to avoid hold-ups. And it doesn't "crowd" the whole road. So far, it hasn't been the cause of any traffic jam. i'll ride on one of them next time. wweee. hehe.

yes i definitely agree..bus marshals like the one in manila..

dapat lang nay bus marshals... humot baya ning mga bus sa mga holdupers... periha sa una CBL pirmi lang ma-holdup...

ay get rid na lang totally sa mga jeepneys is my opinion. bw*s*t yan when sila..they think they are kings of the road and dont look when going back to mainstream traffice after picking up a passenger. tapos kung saan saan pa sila hinto kainis. i will be happy when our streets are rid of the jeepneys...they belong to the museum gyud.

.. what you're asking is impossible. you didn't consider the life of the drivers. driving jeepneys is their only source of income. Don't be so greedy and ruthless. well, if you can provide them with jobs that will be fine but if you can't shut your mouth with these kind of comments.

Gradual phaseout of jeepneys is the plan. In any modern city, the most effective choice for mass transportation specially with the growing population can be solved through buses and mass rail system (trains, subway, etc). It may take years to implement, but we should start the phase out jeepneys now since it doesn't solve our traffic problems, it can only make it worse. This can be done by not renewing the LTFRB franchises and offer an alternative livelihood program for drivers.

I dont know how slow is gradual but I am pretty sure this will take a while.. Have you lately noticed the number of Hilton and Rdak's 21B liners, or kanang mga multicabs, or kanang mga jeep padng Carcar og Danao ( Danao man diay ka part sa, hehe) . Katong mga Canter na gi modify na mga killer na kaayo og nawng unya ang color murag tattoo..
These drivers always try to "maximize" profits busa kung magpadagan grabe ka kusog.. Any collision involving them is always certain of casualty.....
I just hope eventually these buses will replace them sooner than later...
But these proposal to eliminate them will be very difficult.. i dont know kinsay nga politician ang mag author ani because doing so will endanger their number of votes..

Phasing out of Jeepneys can be done. It may take years and good planning. What we need is political will, alternative livelihood and of course political will.

Alternative livehood for drivers:
Let them drive the buses. Yeah same old abusive drivers in Bigger Packages.

I think the gradual phaseout of jeepneys is possible. If the Mass Railway System is implemented, people will have an alternative means of transportation. Who would think that we are now riding on automobiles where it used to be just a horse drawn carriage? Just like I said, any modern metropolis must have a mass transit system in place, jeepneys will never solve this problem even if how deciplined the drivers are. Given if the roads does not widen, and the population increasing, the jeepney's small capacities simply cannot solve transportation problem, it can add to more congestion.
