Bro, I respect your ideas but I would like to point out the "between the lines" with the RCC's subtleties. Walay fixed rate ang simbahan because DAGHAN man followers. Unlike those churches in the philippines where gamay ra ang ilang "flock" they require a fixed amount to insure their income. The church has the luxury to be lax in these collections but lately not anymore. It is no secret that the church currently suffers from dwindling collections every year.

Also, you have to clarify what you said. You said persecution from the Romans and you must remember your a talking about the ROMAN catholic church.

Hence, the same people who persecuted christians have assimilated their beliefs into their culture.

You have an issue with the system, not entirely with the Church.

This doesn't make sense to me. Why would you protect the GOOD priests with investments? If good sila then they do not need to be protected. We are at this point discussing that issue that part of that money is used to fund the BAD priest's lawsuits.

For the people who DO care bai, yes we CAN hate the church. For you who doesn't care you can always continue to give in to their manipulations.

Churches are a dying breed. Giving law to the then lawless land of the ancients and giving hope to the hopeless and ignorant.

The structure paradigm hasn't changed. Build mountains out of molehills and entrusting our faith to the divine.

If you are a person with low self esteem and no spine to make your own decisions, the church is for you. As if it wasn't enough that your mother was telling you how to run your life.

Not literally, what I’m trying to imply is that the organization aren’t gonna let the Church and their teachings fall down just because some of their members are doing faulty. using their financial flexibility to settle things up para dili pod tawn madamay ang mga buotan nga pari, the entire organization and their core mission is an astute move.

If I gave you 100 pesos with the understanding that the money will go towards the poor, then you instead use the money in investments which earn you 10 pesos giving you 110 pesos total.

Does that give you the right to own the 10 pesos since the money used to earn that wasn't yours in the first place?

, isn’t it their right to protect the rests of the priests nga walay gibuhat nga dautan, Knowing that the trust and confidence of people towards the Church had been tarnished as a whole?
they can spend millions to protect themselves IF they really are innocent. BUT as we know, those who are guilty end up just paying off the child abuse victims and get transferred to another location.

however you slice it.. they should do a better job. The current performance is unacceptable.

An organization that knows how to invest is not a bad organization. Strong institution like the Church survives.
So the gauge of your organization is in how much wealth it amasses and not in how it improves the community around it?

It may be that the church is more concerned with its survival than actually helping the poor that it would rather amass itself with wealth rather than use the money for helping people out of poverty.

Like what I've said, you're still trapped on the old notions about the Catholic church. Set aside Noli Me Tangere and El Filibus Tirismo. Check out Church's website so you would be fully updated with it's activities / programs.

If you are a person with low self esteem and no spine to make your own decisions, the church is for you. As if it wasn't enough that your mother was telling you how to run your life.

Kadaghan mga engineer, abogado, doctor nga Katoliko ah. And they're giving donations heartily. Mas bright pa diay ka nila kay wala "daw" ka magpa-ilad sa simbahan? ? ?
