i have a very very bad experience. my father bought a laptop 5 years ago @ thingking tools... core solo for a 28k with a ram of 512mb. but sad to say mga 4 months pa na gamit defective na ang motherboard. ika pila na gipa warranty still gi hasol2x lang mi sa mga technician. some replacements and upgraded parts hangtod na wala nay warranty. considered as defective na gyud ang among napalit. sayang lang among kwarta...
for me my line of choice would be.
asus
msi
acer
lenovo
dell
I've been hearing negative feedbacks pud sa neo nga brand, pero don't expect nga perfect imo experience sa other brands, if matimingan ka ug daoton ma na jud na. Research lang jud daan ug always ask about sa aftersales services.
Neo brand is a ph brand, a low cost solution kunohay. As it is designed and assembled here in the ph dont expect much since everthing in it is literally cheap including the housing of the unit and especially the cooling design which is why Neo units always have overheating problems.
Try comparing a Neo laptop of exactly the same spec to other brands like MSI, Acer, Dell or Lenovo. Take a good look at the back panel of the unit and the cooling fans installed, consider the design and quality of this aspect and take your pick.
Basically if you buy a Neo laptop your buying the spec only, nevermind everything else especially the cooling design which is a requirenment for a laptop which carry latest cpu and gpu that are clocked relatively high and produce a lot of heat.

for notebooks, i think bati jud ang neo. based lang jud sa "touching the unit hehe!" feel jud nimo ang plastic.
Daghan na pud ko nakaencounter ayo og neo laptops = Brittle kaayo ang plastic madugay
pero for netbooks lang, ok raman. Di man jud kaau na critical ang needs (cooling, battery, power etc)
naa mi 15 kabuok. half year na wala man problema.
for the other brands = gamay raman deperensya = sa ma timingan lang.
naa mi 2 ka Asus core i3 notebooks. Ang usa namatay lang kalit ang charger after 2 months
thanks guys, seems i should stay away from it no matter how cheap. i need something really reliable
i want something cheap and reliable try Lenovo s10-3
tanan ninyo gisulti sa neo is right...actually ang parts sa neo d from taiwan...dn g assemble lng dri sa pinas nya nag generate ug model c neo......pero dli pud ing ana ka weak c neo... ky bisan sa uban brand same ra japon ang problem.....dell,asus,msi,toshiba and etc. maguba japon even wla pa na xpire ang warranty period...mao bitaw naa warranty period, bisan sa kalibotan, dri lng sa ato lahi ang system ky sa usa f maguba ang unit w/ in warranty period, ilisan ang whole unit mangayo pa ug sorry ang customer service...diri sa ato ingnun pa ka...DA! PALIT PALIT MAN BARATOHON!!! CGE PA!!!!! NA PAY UNITECH OH!!!!....hehehhehehehhe
bitaw.. no offense pero try gani suroy sa mga computer shops sa sm.. nagpatad man jud na mga lain2x brand sa mga laptops diha..
on first inspection makita nimo nga plastic rajud kaayo ang built.. akong na observaran kana mga neo.. samsung.. ug uban.. pero tan-awa ang mga built sa hp.. dell.. toshiba.. etc.. solid jud kaayo..
para nako importante jud ang physical built sa laptop since you intend to go mobile with it and dal-on nimo sa travel2x.. kinahanglan jud lig-on og built..
kana specs/features mo follow ra na cguro depende sa imong budget.. cguroa lang sa ang iyang ka lig-on..
Hardware level lang theres no difference in Neo laptops since import raman na tanan hardware and assembled here locally. Ang Chassy lang sa unit nila, bad ventilation mao mag sigi kamatay sa overheat ang unit and they use cheap hsf on thier units.
Sa aftersales sad... well only in the philippines.
