maayo sad baya nga i define gyud ilang rights and privileges.. but dapat they will be professional sad sa ilang trabaho.. i grew up with yayas and i appreciate their help very much.. pero naka experience nasad baya mi og mga abusado.. so dapat patas.. it should be a given that we treat them right.. when it comes to sabot sa salary and compensation dapat tapatan sad og maayo og loyal nga serbisyo...

we are very nice to our helps (live-in), we treat them like one of us. These new generation helps are just not as appreciative as the older generation. Mas demanding and ambitious sila in the wrong ways. and mind you, most helps now have their own cellphones, uban modemand pa. ok raman with cellphones, pero my goodness cge text, cge text, tawag tawag, etc. Imagine, natingala jud ko one time kay one of our helps asked me, "te, where kha ko mkapalit og netbook?" wow! lupigan ko sa ako help dah. hinatag raman gani ni akoa.
hayahay gud ni sila kaayo kay they have their own rooms sa balay, kita pa mopalit for their food, they dont have to pay rent, etc. am just saying...
tumpak! sakto kau!! maliki nalang ka kai mas updated pa sila.

sakto nga dapat naay jud ni siya balaod nga klaro then klaro ilang rights and privileges. Pati pud rights and privileges sa amo kay sometimes walay klaro mga helper. Sa giingon na sa usa ka istoryan diri, cge lang ug text2x ug tawag2x. Tarungon ug kwenta ilang sweldo. Minus sa room rent and food pud para patas.

Problema lang kay ang room rate kay perting dako-a kay nice man ang room then mahal pud pagkaon (joke )

Think of it this way, does other country offer educational benefits to say e.g. to our domestic helpers? If this would be proposed as a bill then gubot pani sa lukot. Depende unsa ang guidelines sa bill but this will be full of loopholes as I can imagine. A household helper's main job is to assist the household owner on whatever means legal and acceptable, say for e.g. imo gipa-eskwela imo helper do you think she can now focus on her day job? Dili ba kaha mag-cge na lang nuon ug tuon ky naay exams and assignments that needs to be completed, not to mention the extra curricular activities sa school like practices on sayaw, presentations, research study, etc you name it. In the end ma-defeat ang purpose sa pagka-helper ky bahig naman ang attention. Conflicts will arise e.g. nasakit ang tagbanay unya finals sa helper which will you choose?

If they want minimum wage and educational benefits then they should not be working as a household helper but rather adto sa mga fastfood chains instead. They get paid by the hour which sounds more fair.

Besides how many good helpers are around these days?

I have no issues with the minimum wage for these helpers, other than that this proposal is plain stupid to begin with.
