Its a gathering system information and more option to know whos the culprit. this tool is powerfull enough and it depends on how you use it.
the result of this scan can be used as evidence enough to file a case.

try ug mcAfee anti virus bai kay one of the components niya is to scan sa network for available devices connected nya ma list didto ang name ug ip/ mac sa devices , naa sad option ma block nimo ang access sa particular device sa imo pc... so if naa man gani laing connected sa network ma kit an jud nimo.....let say imo silingan nga "wise" then u can print screen / print the result then file dayon kaso.....just my 2 cents though......hope it helps

like unsa pa man nga information? nmap is a port scanner

it scans open ports, ip, hostname etc. of a target

i use nmap b4 as an attacker or to attack. i never though of using nmap for information gathering of an attacker

Try WPA2 AES security. WEP is very weak.
Mac filtering can also help although its a bit of a hassle connecting new wireless devices.

I think your issue is more on being infected by a trojan on the net rather than being hacked localy.

You can also check the router page most routers shows active clients connected and you will be able to know if these computers that are connected to your router are yours or not.

We're using WPA AES... but I'll change that later to WPA2 AES..

I think your issue is more on being infected by a trojan on the net rather than being hacked localy. I do hope you read my previous replies... A name of their neighbor was found in C:\USERS. If a virus or trojan can do that, then, that's a smart trojan/virus. Kaila siya sa silingan. Plus, I saw a folder, Windows Easy Transfer nga folder, which IMHO, ang gi-gamit pag hack sa system sa akong migo. here's the link of that program -> Windows Easy Transfer - Windows 7 features - Microsoft Windows

You can also check the router page most routers shows active clients connected and you will be able to know if these computers that are connected to your router are yours or not. My friend checked it once in a while, wala man daw naka-connect. I don't know pud if gi-unsa niya og check, but I taught him how to. I wasn't there when he was hacked, I don't know what and how did their neighbor cracked his laptop.

I'm not so expert with this matter but naa sad idea gmay... my advise is...since emo na gre4mat ag laptop. ayaw eshare ang emong harddisk, specially connected sa network. and Turn on your Firewall protection w/c was located in control panel...after that reset your router. There are many kinds of router. i dont know kung what router r u using right now, but they have security password or wap...try to think a password which is not common and dont tell any1. try letters and numbers in making ur passwor.

Kung mahack jpon,,, nay inside job ana..heehheheheh... for xur nay gasumbong sa n ung clingan...

    GUDLAK!!
