that depends on your barcode scanner.

but common barcode scanner acts like a keyboard.


just create your vb6 system, thats it.. no need to worry about barcode scanning problem, where your cursor is at, is where the barcode input will appear. lol..

usually...kung mo palit ka ug scanner..naa na siya kuyog nga SDK...so kato lang ang basehi kung unsaon pag gamit sa imo scanner...pero usually, mura ra man na siya ug keyboard as what the previous post mentioned...

u don't need any SDK or any development tools just to interface with your barcode scanners... Like "fixyourself" said, it would only act as a keyboard/input device...

Some barcode scanners can be wedge on the keyboard, meaning you can use both keyboard and barcode scanner at the same time...

google it.. there are plenty of sources in the net for this.
interfacing is no probs (see fixyourself comment).. you have to essentially start coding on your vb first.

unsa na port inyo barcode? ako POS kay working naman siya gamit na gani sa usa sa mga stores diri cebu then VS 2010 ug MSSQL 2008 ako gamit.

yup sakto bro barcode acts like your keyboard.. set your cursor to activate on that certain field.. i've done this before sa wla pa kaau na uso ang biometric, i've done swipe2x sa I.D. as daily time record using barcode scanner using code 39 but naa daghan depende nimo unsay i generate purely number ba or mixed with characters. sa akoa nga case purely numbers lng para mas sayon if ever magmalfunction and barcode reader so dali ra pd itype...
