Mao bitaw nang "Drink Moderately". Lahi ra jud sa "Cigarette smoking is DANGEROUS to your health".

Dili na San Miguel Brewery sila nag-invest, but San Miguel Corporation, a Conglomerate..

Why am I talking to someone who don't have even a slight idea of what investing is.
dili sila sa san mig brewery nag-invest, sa san mig corp... naa point

unya, pwede ba ka muingun nga please put my stocks to all your products except for alcoholic drinks/products? <--- honest question boss kay i am one of those "who don't have even a slight idea of what investing is."

drinking in moderation is good, pero naa man gyud magpahubog nga mga follower nila(sa catholic), unya unsa man ang cause sa hubog, ang muinom ug makahubog in excess, unya kinsa man ang naghimu sa imnunon, ang san miguel corporation, which is a conglemerate.

Setting the lapses of the church aside, saying that the church is profit-oriented is just one side of the coin. They really are but it is just magnified tungod ani nga issue. Let's not forget nga despite of the lapses sa church, dako pud kaayo na ug natabang sa ato.

the article is suggesting that with all those "financial intellect" that these religious leaders have, why are they preaching to the rest of us that money is the root of all evil? why are they preaching "si diyos ang bahala sa lahat"? and of note is the part where they preach satisfaction in what you have (even when people are already penniless).
What I'm saying is that the way people react here suggests that the church is "evil" because niinvest sila ug ingon ana nga amount. And for your argument, that is just a result of people interpreting the Bible literally. Though I strongly agree that the church should educate the people financially.

walay Vow of poverty sa mga Diocesan na mga pari. Ang mga Religous Priests and Brothers lang ang naa.

Vow of Poverty means na ang mga Priests and Brothers in a Religous Order dili maka own ug property para sa ilang kaugalingon but for the community...

So, now, what's the relation between Vow of Poverty and investing?

the reason they are not taxed because they are supposed to be non-profit organizations.

It only means nga wala sila mo-concentrate sa brewery products.
You have to widen your horizons. SMC is a very Big Corporation. Wala na sila nabuhi tungod lang sa Beer. By the way, San Miguel beverages products is not just Beer.

Anything taken in excess is a sin, even Food.
Kung palabi ka ug kaon ug chicken joy sa Jolibee, then you have sinned glutonny.
Alangan man sad ug sala ang mo-invest sa Jolibee.

Selling alcoholic drinks is never a Sin.
Pero if your selling it to minors, promoting wild immoral acts. Mao nay dili mao.

Bisan pa ug wala ang San Miguel, mangita gihapon ug paagi ang mga palahubog nga mahubog. Palit nalang tanduay or di ba tuba.. And maoy nay gi-condemn sa Church.
