i wonder if they ever will change back their style like the fungus album. a lil bit of jazz. it was my fave album.

Mike, Jose, Ben, Suzie Katayama (aqueous xmission), and a whole orchestra did a broadway-like jazz ditty called the "Time Lapse Consortium" after the Morning View hype and after dirk left the band. It's as close as it gets to fungus.

All instrumental tracks except for their version of certain shade of green lounge with brandon singing. There's a track there that really resembles Azwethinkweiz. Those into incubus should listen to time lapse consortium. You have NO idea what you're missing.

and no, i don't think incubus will go back to the fungus sound.

as far as i can recall (except for morning view), first impressions of a new incubus album is always bad. That's somewhat of a good thing actually, since it weeds off unwanted listeners with sheer ease----> i'm talking about the MTV and the emo-overdose scenesters and the likes. Yeah, incubus will f*** disappoint your asses. Go away and listen to your fall out boys and chemical romances.

I mean, when I got ACLOTM I wasn't thoroughly impressed. It's one of those bands that needs more listening to before you start appreciating the music. Whereas most records wear off their appeal in weeks/months, the ACLOTM cd is getting heavier and heavier rotation on my player since I got it in 2004. I've owned the cd for 2+ years and it never gets old and gets better the more you listen to it... much like other incubus albums.

Own all their albums, and I'll be more than glad to get Light Grenades once it comes out.
