God tested his faith BY his works.

I rather believe in the bible. Isn't it the basis of Christian faith? then why am i hearing words derived from confused non-catholic theologians or should I say Obscurantists?

this is not the position of the bible.


intrinsic as a Christian? are you saying that non-Christians are bereft of good works? where did you get this idea? from the bible? i hope not. By the way im not asking you about what faith can produce,the topic is Soteriology.

You are the one who's confused brother. You'd rather believe in the Bible, you said? Why aren't you then taking it HOLISTICALLY. Stop being overly dogmatic. It's not making any sense. Perhaps, if GOD's words (this TRUTH) couldn't penetrate you, your heart is stoned and only HIM can turn that to flesh again, by HIS grace.

Romans 5:1-2 and I quote "Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through HIM, we have also obtained access by FAITH, into this GRACE, in which we stand and we rejoice in hope if the glory of GOD.

It is biblical brother. Romans 11:6 and I quote "But if it is by GRACE, it is no longer on the basis of works"

Look at it this way.
You have a talent, and it's God's gift.
But you don't sit and do nothing, instead, harness your talent and maximize it to the full.

And once your talent already bloomed, you don't thank yourself, but thank God for the talent He gave you, and guided you while enhancing it.

Does it mean wala ka participation ato? Kadaghan naay talent ah, pero wala gi-enhance.

its easy to say I have Faith. Pero kong walay good works dako kaayong problema na.

nganong gi test man lagi si Abraham? nganong gi test man lagi si Adam and Eve? was having faith enough? and who tested them was it the people ? wa pa may tao sa panahon ni Adam, unya di pod tao ang nitawag ni Abraham haron e sacrifice si Isaac.

What I'm emphasizing is about a LIVING FAITH. NOT just Faith Alone.

Let me repost this Analogy:

A man walking at night on a mountain suddenly slipped off, fell from a cliff, and was able to hold a small branch of a tree sprouting from a cliff. After heartily praying to God, he heard a voice saying: "Child, do you really believe me?" . The man said, "Yes God, I believe in you with all my heart". Then the voice says: "Then let go of the branch". The man was confused and afraid to let go cause He might die. But with faith, he let go and found out that the ground was just 3 feet from where he clinged to..

That is what you call faith and works..

If the man never let go of the branch, that will be an example of a dead faith.



Again, answer this question:

Rom. 3:28, "For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.

Rom. 4:5, "But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness,"

Eph. 2:8-9, "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. 9Not by works, lest any man should boast."
