If it is now 4.3.3 software we can still jailbreak it. Just go to settings and about to know your software version.

The unit must be jailbroken to install the call and text feature of the apple peel.

Add P300 for jailbreak if you'll buy together with the apple peel.

Haven't tried the bluetooth with the apple peel attached to the ipod.
