Hi. Just wondering why the previous thread about iComm was locked? Anyhow, I used to work with iComm. Its generally fair and a good company to work for.. In my experience there good and bad times.. One thing I got was friendship and the essense of team work. I used to be with the web group. I earned the respect of 2 excellent developers which i treat like brothers since we bled together when times were really hard... All I can say is so far so good but there are just people one has to learn to get use to lang... peace..

    moderator's note

No one influenced me to lock the thread. I locked it because it was no longer talking about the company, the thread has become full of OT posts despite the previous note that I left there. This too will be locked if a discussion of this nature continues.

Also, no one is "Powerful" enough to convince any of the iStorya.net moderators or Administrators to do their bidding.

Their policy is getting tighter and tighter. One of the reasons why one of the web software engineers left. Most likely, pro-management jud sla. Gamay sweldo but good for beginners. Pero trust me, naay laing mas dako dako ug pay for beginners out there. Mas makaingon ko nga pro-management sla. Pero there are times nga fair sla. So far, thats how i see it.

I started with iComm (formely known as Farcite), the policies were not strict that time. Sad to say but its true, some of the people abuses it. I guess that's the reason why the polices are getting tighter and tighter. In general, iComm policies are okay not totally bad, the only problem I had is no flextime.

The salary package I had was okay, PTS was nice but didn't worked out for me only (esp during 2005), because I dont want to rush my work just to get it done w/o doing it the right way.

Employees always tend to complain about company policies if not the salary package they are receiving. I think you should also be aware not all things that the employee wants the company can give. If you think your not happy and you felt that you are used, can't handle the pressure and you can't dance with the company anymore, there is always an option to look for another job. It works for me and I dont know with you guys.

OT: please read the rules of the forum first. Just a suggestion paghimo nalang mo inyo blog for sure dili gyud na ma locked. hihihi peace guys.

hmmm..im not sure about the company's policy but i sure hope that it doesn't include these as follows..

    Dress Code
It is advised that you come to work dressed according to your salary. If we see you wearing Prada shoes and carrying a Gucci bag, we assume you are doing well financially and therefore do not need a raise. If you dress poorly, you need to learn to manage your money better, so that you may buy nicer clothes, and therefore you do not need a raise. If you dress just right, you are right where you need to be and therefore you do not needa raise.

    Sick Days
We will no longer accept a doctor's statement as proof of sickness. If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.

    Personal Days
Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year. They are called Saturday & Sunday.

    Bereavement Leave
This is no excuse for missing work. There is nothing you can do for dead friends, relatives or co-workers. Every effort should be made to have non-employees attend to the arrangements. In rare cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should be scheduled in the late afternoon. We will be glad to allow you to work throughyour lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour early.

    Toilet Use
Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet. There is now a strict three-minute time limit in the stalls. At the end of three minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract, the stall door will open, and a picture will be taken. After your second offence, your picture will be posted on the company bulletin board under the "Chronic Offenders Category". Anyone caught smiling in the picture will be sanctioned under the company's mental healthpolicy.

    Lunch Break
Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch, as they need to eat more, so that they can look healthy. Normal size people get 15 minutes for lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure. Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time needed to drink a Slim-Fast
