well explained level42, tool is not nu metal, it's just their "out of this world" music that may sound modern to some... MJK is a F***ing excellent lyricist/poet. yeah, aenima is more aggressive than lateralus which is more defined. all tool albums are great! i've heard 10000 days got a good rating.

There was a time that the pieces fit, but I watched them fall away.

so they have a new album eh? I still keep Lateralus on heavy rotation on my mp3 player. I think they're the only nu metal band who successfully transitioned to progressive.
